JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Finance Analyst will work together with the Singapore Finance Team and Asia Shared Service Centre (SSC) to support the Singapore business by managing the day-to-day finance operations, delivering insightful timely analysis and other financial planning needs.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    
•    Responsible for submission of timely, accurate and commercially-focused Budget, Forecast and 3 Year Planning for Singapore, in line with agreed templates and timetables 
•    Identify and timely report risks and opportunities for the business by monitoring Sales Pacing and cost spending closely
•    Update commentary highlights concisely, anticipating and addressing potential questions in advance with supporting analysis as appropriate
•    Provide Business Partner support to event team
•    Monthly P&L actual review and working with SSC for month end. This will include:
-    Ensure revenue and costs are recorded correctly, and intercompany billings are performed
-    Compliance in accordance to Group guidelines and timely release of accruals, if any.
•    Build necessary financial / management reports from appropriate systems for review and analysis purpose
•    Intercompany review for Singapore incl. agreements, invoicing, resolving mismatches and cash settlements
•    Liaise with auditors for Government Grants audit
•    Manage and review GST submission, Corporate Secretarial related matters and completion of Government Surveys for the Company
•    Handle audit, tax and financial statements related matters

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flows).
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and regulations.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in creating annual budgets and periodic forecasts.

Clients Accounting & Finance support

• Provide advisory support to the Corporate Secretary, offering guidance on financial matters related to the ASEAN region as needed.

Financial Planning and Strategy:

• Support financial strategy development and implementation to achieve organizational goals.

• Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis for assessing opportunities.

Accounts Management:

• Manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.

Taxation and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and timely submission of returns (e.g., GST, corporate tax).
• Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors.
• Stay informed of tax law changes and implement necessary adjustments.

Internal Controls and Audit:

• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data accuracy.
• Support internal and external audits, addressing queries and resolving issues.
• Mitigate financial risks through robust risk management strategies.

Financial Systems and SOP Processes:

• Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes for efficiency.
• Ensure system maintenance and integration with organizational data.
• Build and organized the Finance Department SOP and policy.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Effectively communicate financial results and KPIs to non-financial audiences.
• Support investor relations with timely and accurate financial data.

Qualification

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred.
• At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and local tax regulations.
• Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting.

• Liaising with tax agents on corporate income tax matters, providing necessary information, and reviewing tax computations before submission to IRAS.
• Preparing deferred tax computations and reconciling tax to accounting.
• Reviewing subsidiaries' corporate income tax computations.
• Preparing forms required by IRAS (e.g., Form AC, RPT Form, Section 34C forms).
• Evaluating group relief transfers, ECI requirements, and other compliance needs.
• Preparing ECI and reviewing Form C/Form C-S submissions, including supporting documents.
• Collaborating with auditors on tax-related issues.

2) Other Tax-Related Matters:

• Liaising with IRAS officers on audit of GST return, financial year changes, and other tax queries.
• Advising accountants on GST, including input tax claims, zero-rated GST, and final GST submissions, and compliance matters
• Coordinating with holding and subsidiary accountants on group tax matters.
• Advising accountants and support group finance manager on cross-border taxation such as permanent establishment risks, withholding tax (e.g., Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, China).

Financial Reporting and Consolidation:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages for submission to holding company, including group sales analysis by product and by industry, variance analysis, and outstanding loan and guarantee reports.
• Consolidating subsidiaries' monthly financial analysis, including balance sheet and profit-and-loss reviews.
• Preparing audited financial statements and addressing auditor queries.
• Preparing financial statements for filing to ACRA
• Include but not limited to managing group bank account updates and loan-related matters, providing financial data for bank loan renewals and sales tender, and supporting the director with miscellaneous financial tasks as required.
