Our client is a newly established subsidiary company that is primarily engaged in the trading of technological apparel. Its parent company is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. They are seeking a Finance Executive to join their pioneer team.

The successful candidate will report to the Assistant Finance Manager and will play a pivotal role in the company’s finance operations. The ideal candidate is highly organised, analytical, and able to juggle multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reimbursements
• Ensure timely reconciliation of financial transactions, bank statements and GST filing
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare monthly journals, reports and audit schedules
• Monitor cashflow requirements and prepare cashflow projections
• Assist in the preparation of budget and forecast
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, vendors, customers and auditors where necessary
• Support daily finance operations, including data entry and record-keeping, and any adhoc tasks as assigned from time to time

Requirements

Education:

• Diploma in Accounting/Finance/Business or equivalent

Experience:

• 1 - 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a SME or start-up environment.

Skills:

• Strong familiarity with financial accounting principles and Singapore tax and accounting requirements
• Proficient in SAP software
• Strong attention to details and accuracy
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)

Language ability:

• Proficiency in spoken Mandarin and confident to communicate in written Chinese, to be able to liaise with and collaborate with teams in Hong Kong and China
• Proficient in spoken and written English

The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the Finance function which includes:

• Handling the full spectrum of the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions
• Ensuring the accurate/timely verification and processing of invoices, claims, and payments to vendors/staff
• Familiarize with the Gym Management System and perform checks using the database
• Generating sales reports (i.e., updating of daily sales figures, sales tracking etc.)
• Processing of refunds to customers
• Liaising with vendors on all Finance matters
• Assisting with the preparation of Finance reports as required by the Management
• Supporting internal/external audit, budgeting, and forecasting exercises
• Performing administrative duties for the department such as database management, filing, and data entry
• Any other work duties as assigned by reporting officer

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
• At least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Candidates with experience with the Xero accounting software will have an advantage
• Good written/spoken communication and interpersonal skills
• Detailed-oriented with strong organizational and administrative skills

Responsibilities

• Work with bank and internal stakeholders on paperwork
• Support and advise internal stakeholders on clarification related to the solution based on policies and guidelines established.
• Discussion with bank to highlight technical issues experienced by internal stakeholders and get resolutions from the bank.
• Internal discussion with IT Division to explore potential enhancement of existing workflow / process to elevate user experience and, efficiency and effectiveness.
• Administrative support on automation initiative(s).
• Meetings coordination, prepare Records of Decisions (RoDs) / Minutes of Meeting (MoMs), monitor action items
• Ad-hoc support on ongoing or exploratory projects (coordination of activities, documenting of feedback, assisting with procurement paperwork with prior year reference).

Requirement

• Diploma holder, preferably in Finance / Accountancy
• 3 years working experience
• Meticulous and organized
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of automation tools like PowerAutomate is advantageous
