Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and close project plans, revising as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Drive project scoping and initiation documents, business cases, and business requirements documents.
• Manage project teams, sponsors, and stakeholders across business and technology functions from Front, Middle, and Back Office.
• Work across business and technology lines to define, analyze, and lead improvements to business processes and procedures in line with best practices, regulatory and legal compliance.
• Manage project resources, budgets, scope, risks, schedules, progress, performance, deliverables, issues, escalations, and conflicts.
• Engage teams and stakeholders throughout all stages of projects (e.g., facilitating requirements gathering workshops, design specifications, identifying target operating models, user training needs, managing UAT, dress rehearsals, parallel runs, and Go-Live rollouts).
• Produce and maintain key project documentation throughout the project lifecycle (e.g., plans, status reports, and issue and risk logs).
• Prepare accurate and detailed project reports and presentations to update senior management on milestones and statuses.
• Effectively apply project management methodologies and enforce the bank’s project standards.
• Perform post-implementation reviews.

Requirements

• University graduate with a major in Business Management, Information Systems/Technology, or Finance from a recognized university.
• At least five years of experience managing large-scale, end-to-end projects in a global financial institution, responsible for all project aspects (managing users, technology partners, senior stakeholders, and external service providers).
• Certification in project management and/or Agile methodologies (Product Owner or Scrum Master) is advantageous.
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, including verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Job Purpose
• Support the Manager in managing a fleet of LNG carriers
• Ensure effective communication and co-ordination with Charterer, Owners, and Ship Technical Managers

Duties and Responsibilities
 Owner representative for a fleet of LNG carriers on long term charterer
 Administer Project Budgets with the Ship Managers
 Manage Internal Approval process and interact/liaise with Technical and Commercial Teams overseas.
 Give Asset Management input in response to Tenders and Presentation Materials and follow up activities
 Develop relationships with existing and potential clients and other related organizations
 Provide Operational Input for Contractual compliance matters

 Ensure effective governance and compliance of all commercial and ship management contracts.

 Manage and resolve commercial disputes and ensure Owner interests are protected. These will include but not be limited to:
 Liaising with Charterers and review of off hire reconciliation statements.
 Review and negotiate time charterparty performance claims and report to manager/owner before settlement.
 Keep all stakeholders fully updated on progress and close out

 Ensure vigorous control and review of ship technical manager actual spend v budget
 Review expenditure requests (AFE) over approved budget and obtain manager sign off.
 Prepare quarterly / year end OPEX reports with variance analysis for manager review and sign off.
 Review annual OPEX and dry dock budgets - seek necessary approvals.

 Ensure effective communications with all stakeholders.

 Ensure Company (HQ) reports are submitted as per the agreed deadlines
 Liaise closely with Finance Team and prepare Budget documents and analysis for approvals
 Liaise closely with Finance Team to prepare and submit long term P&L projections.
 Handle ad-hoc requests // clarifications from Company HQ (Shareholders / Owners).

 Support insurance manager and minimize impact to P&L
 Support insurance manager to ensure rightful claims are raised and recovered.
 Liaise with Finance team to ensure appropriate provisions are allocated to financial statements
 Update Company (HQ), Senior Leadership, Directors and Shareholders with manager supervision and guidance on the Insurance / claims /Settlement matters

 Prepare and organize
 Ensure Monthly KPI scorecards are sent to Charterers / Owners.
 Review monthly OPEX reports and variance analysis submitted by Ship technical managers
 Quarterly business reports. Submit to Board of Directors and Shareholders.
 Prepare/ organize director and shareholder meeting materials.

Job Requirement

Qualifications :
Degree in maritime and/ or business

Knowledge and Experience :
 A good working knowledge of shipping commercial operations
 Familiarity with time charter/ shipbuilding contractual terms and associated commercial agreements.
 Ability to read basic financial statements
 Good cultural awareness with the ability to engage with various stakeholders worldwide
 Good understanding of LNG market gained at another owner and / or energy company
 Ex-Mariner with LNG / Gas / Tanker experience

You will be a part of the Asian Investment Banking Division (“AIBD”) that sits in the front line, responsible for the promotion of Corporate & Investment Banking (“CIB”) products and services in the Asia and Oceania region, covering both Global Corporates and Japanese Corporates. • Work with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and optimize resources.
• Identify opportunities to improve operations and recommend strategies to increase profitability and efficiency.
• Lead cost management and productivity initiatives for sustainable growth.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to guide long-term decisions and manage financial risks.
• Oversee internal controls, including working with external auditors.
• Manage treasury activities such as monitoring bank balances, deposits, and interest, while minimizing risk and building relationships with banks.
• Enhance the company’s financial management capabilities.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting/Finance
• Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in financial management or business controlling
• CA/CPA certified will be an added advantage
• Experience with Big 4 and background in both public and private sectors will be an added advantage
• Ability to collaborate across teams, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
