This position is a key member of our Biospringer APAC team and Biospringer Finance team and will work in close collaborations with cross functional teams in APAC, China and France.

It includes 3 main responsibilities.

Reporting:

• To coordinate monthly closing activities with entities producing for and selling on APAC markets to ensure compliance with BIOSPRINGER & Group reporting procedures.
• To analyse, prepare and consolidate the monthly reporting at BIOSPRINGER APAC level.
• To conduct analysis to understand variances between budget/forecast and actual  performance/results.
• To perform margin analysis.
• To communicate with BIOSPRINGER Global finance team and BIOSPRINGER entities to understand APAC performance.
• To track, monitor, and feedback on variance analysis (i.e.: pricing, costing, OPEX, …) to respective stakeholders.

Budgeting and Forecasting

• To coordinate budgeting and forecasting processses and activities at BIOSPRINGER APAC level in accordance with Group and BIOSPRINGER Budget guidance.
• To analyse, prepare and consolidate Budget at BIOSPRINGER APAC level for discussion with BIOSPRINGER Global team.

Business Support

• To take charge of cross-functional projects aimed at optimizing BIOSPRINGER APAC results and to ensure regular monitoring.
• To monitor profitability per product / customer and be part of pricing management with Marketing team.
• To be a business partner to the Sales team, and Sales admin team, in case of overdue.
• To support accuracy of our S&OP forecast thanks to Sales data analysis.
• To ensure transfer price rules follows Group guideline.
• To actively participate and deploy the Group's procedures & projects at the regional level.
• To coordinate and support compliance project if needed.
• To support BIOSPRINGER and Group’s enhancement initiatives / programs launched on BIOSPRINGER APAC scope.

Job Purpose:

• Manage financial accounting for companies within the Singapore Group.
• Coordinate with shared services for day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate accounting records and timely reporting.

Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting:

• Prepare monthly closing journal and review accounts reconciliations.
• Monitor monthly inventories aging report for NRV adequacy.
• Control chart of accounts, review consistency, and manage account creation/archiving.
• Review stock take reconciliation and assist in annual policy renewal.
• Support external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Submit Benefit in Kind (BIK) - Car and Car-related Benefits.
• Handle Annual Statutory Accounts and XBRL. GST and Tax:
• Review GST submission workings and conduct GST reconciliation tests.
• Prepare tax and deferred tax computations for accounting provision.
• Finalize corporate tax computations for review by HO and tax consultants. Fixed Assets and Capex:
• Review and maintain records for capex and fixed asset requisitions.
• Manage the asset register and demo car records for franchises.
• Coordinate with shared services and operations on day-to-day accounting matters.
• Assist in budget and forecast preparation and finalization.
• Maintain SG Insurance Policy master file and coordinate insurance coverage for company assets.
• Implement and test new programs to ensure functionality based on requirements.
• Set up parameters and interfaces in GDMS for new models/franchise.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Accounting & Finance with 5-6 years' experience or Degree in Accounting & Finance with 3-4 years' experience.
• Strong Excel skills.

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily trading PNL for assigned desk and close the trading P/L on a timely basis. This includes preparation of journal entries for accounting team to book.
• Review and validate daily freight payable transactions in accounting system for accurate and timely payments.
• Update futures/options margin accounts breakdown by desk, per broker statement.
• Review general month-end accounting tasks by accounting team to ensure that the financial results are prepared and reported timely in accordance with IFRS and Singapore accounting standards as well as internal policies. This includes Statutory and Management reporting.
• Perform month-end trading and accounting PNL reconciliation to ensure no major discrepancies and differences are accounted for, provide commentaries as required.

• Engage actively in the ongoing process of automating tasks and constantly look for areas of improvement.
• Assist the Manager/Controller to assess and identify risks within the business and any other adhoc tasks as required.

Experiences:

• 1-2 years of experience in Product Control/Business Analysis/Management Accounting/Audit/FP&A from shipping/commodities industries preferred.
• Good understanding of futures markets, hedging and derivatives mechanisms.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability, and willingness to interact effectively with all levels of employees & management.

Job Description

• Assist with the preparation of weekly flash report.
• Prepare monthly P&L statements for the assigned services. Ensure team members complete the monthly closing for their services on time.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation and distribution of monthly reports to the management. These include regional P&L, commentaries, actual vs. flash variance analysis, actual vs. budget gap analysis, etc...
• Prepare schedules for balance sheet accounts related to cost provisions, unearned/ unbilled revenue, cost recoveries, stock and prepayments. Ensure appropriate actions are taken, and in a timely manner.
• Liaise with external auditors on audit matters and manage the audit process.
• Drive preparation of regional forecasts (quarterly) and budget (annually). This includes ensuring reasonable assumptions are used by Line Managers and the forecast/ budget is reflective of current conditions and business plan. Revenue and cost drivers are to be properly analyzed and presented to management. Ensure submission of reports within stipulated deadlines.
• Being an effective business partner to the regional director and managers. Take pro-active steps to engage regional director and managers in understanding the performance drivers in greater depth, going beyond a pure reporting function. Drive value added analysis to provide useful business insights to support/ improve decision making.
• Ensure efficient and effective operation of disbursements process – include ensuring disbursements are checked for accuracy, relevant supporting documents are submitted and verified, disputes are resolved promptly, monthly reconciliations are prepared and discrepancies are followed up, and any advances given are accounted for/ recovered timely.
• Identify areas of improvements to existing processes/ systems. Take on lead role in system implementation/ improvement projects.
