As part of this programme, the Climate Finance Cluster will assess the multifaceted business risks posed by the physical impacts of climate change, narrow the protection gap, and facilitate the transition to a low-carbon economy.

The Senior Research Fellow will be responsible for developing procedures to measure and price risks arising from climate change suitable for each company so that climate risk can be managed by companies and hedged by investors, and seeing this work through to publication in major research journals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Grant Administration
  • Assist in the submission of new grant proposals;
  • MOE budgets and cash flow projections.
  • Coordinate the submission and review of the annual budgets.
  • Manage the inception of projects and ensure closure of projects in a timely manner.
  • Work with grant administrators to ensure that claim submissions are accurate and submitted promptly.
  • Track and monitor the utilisation of grants and highlight projects that under-utilised budgets.
  • Assist grant administrators on their queries (including troubleshooting of system issues).
  • Liaise with grantors (including MOE) on matters related to grants.
  • Assist in performing UAT on system enhancements.
  • Any other task relating to grant administration
• Grant Reporting
  • Prepare necessary journals for month-end closing;
  • audit schedules for internal reporting.
  • Analyse the projects expenditure against budget and explain the variance (if any) for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports for internal reporting;
  • bi-yearly and annual claims for MOE reporting purposes;
  • quarterly reports on utilisation of grants for MOE.
  • Assist in the submission of claims in grantor-specific portals (e.g. IGMS, [email protected], etc).
  • Generate reports for MOE and other external funders.
  • Support project certification and audits (including liaising with auditors and coordinating the audit).
  • Any other task relating to grant reporting.
• Governance
  • Ensure administration of grants complied with terms and conditions of the grant agreements.
  • Reconcile claim statement to accounting records

• Degree in Accountancy, Business or a related discipline with at least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
• Fast worker with ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written skills are essential).
• Able to work well with people at different levels of the organisation.
• Committed, meticulous, organised and resourceful with positive work attitude.
• Good Microsoft Office application skills.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in SAP and/or any of the major accounting software will be an advantage.
• Familiar with BI tools (e.g. Qlik sense, Power BI, Tableau) will be an added advantage.

Job purpose:

The GS-Ops TCC Specialist Trade Finance is, with due consideration of all internal and regulatory requirements and within the agreed deadlines, responsible for processing of the trade finance business for customers, as well as for providing specialized and process-driven advice within his/her sphere of activity. In so doing, he works closely with FK TF-CM Allrounder Cash/Trade Sales International, FK TF-CM Specialist Cash/Trade Sales International, FK-TF-CM Advisor Trade Services International, FK-TF-CM Assistant Trade Services International and Relationship Managers, and other department stakeholders that deal with corporate customers, whom he supports by providing pertinent information in a team-oriented manner.

Key activities:

Processing of Trade Finance Business

• Depending on each task allocated, the processing covers the carrying out of all trade finance business processes in accordance with the rules, regulations, and compliance-related requirements.
• Advising of customers with due consideration given to their specific needs and the bank’s operational requirements
• Assuming middle office role by performing pre-processing and post-processing tasks for Trade Finance Products/Sub-Processes in accordance with Global/Internal Guideline/Process
• Perform monitoring and reconciliation of transaction(s) processed by processing hub.
• Perform vetting of Direct/Indirect Guarantees/Amendment
• Perform monitoring tasks for all outstanding Guarantee transactions ensuring pending fees are collected timely.
• Ensuring compliance with first line of defense responsibilities
• He may also be required to act as a speaker within the framework of the bank’s qualification measures and events with corporate customers
• Responsibility for warranty of occupational health and safety and health protection for all employees of his/her unit
• The GS-OPS TCC Specialist Trade Finance is authorized to check documents up to a certain level without supervision. he exercises this authority in a responsible manner and in accordance with the regulations
• Supporting the FK-TF-CM Allrounder Cash/Trade Sales International, FK-TF-CM Specialist Cash/Trade Sales International, FK-TF-CM Advisor Trade Service International, FK-TF-CM Assistant Trade Services International, and Relationship Managers in an advisory role

Formal education:

• Degree/Diploma with major in Business, Banking/Finance or Law or Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists

Specialist knowledge (work experience, further qualification):

• Competency in ICC Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits 2007 Revision, International Standard banking Practice for the Examination of Documents under UCP 600, ICC Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantee, The Uniform Rules for Collections (URC 522)
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Words, and Excel
• Minimum 5 years Trade Finance experience specialize in Guarantee Handling

We are seeking an experienced professional with a background in both IT and finance, possessing a robust understanding of financial systems and processes to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the headquarters' IT department to integrate business process systems with local financial systems. This includes, but is not limited to, tasks such as GL posting and master data synchronization;
2. Analyze and document financial IT requirements for other overseas entities, providing corresponding solutions. Collaborate with the headquarters to implement these requirements and drive financial IT development overseas;
3. Gather financial data analysis requirements, conduct data analysis, and provide data support using tools such as BI;
4. Provide technical support, daily operations, and troubleshooting for the relevant financial system modules;
5. Conduct regular reviews and optimizations.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or above in finance, computer science, or related fields preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial system, with at least two completed financial system projects.
3. Strong understanding of accounting, financial systems and processes
4. Proficient in tools such as BI, SQL, VBA, Python; familiarity with overseas accounting systems and experience in system automation integration is a plus.
5. Bilingual in English and Mandarin, encompassing speaking, reading, and writing as this role requires interacting with Chinese stakeholders.
6. Excellent logical analysis, organizational coordination, and planning skills.
7. Strong logical thinking, effective communication skills, clear career planning, self-motivation for growth, and a sense of responsibility and resilience are essential.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 1 years admin experience

Job Scope:

• Assist HOD in all aspects relating to the accounting functions to facilitate the closing of the full set of accounts
• Lead and supervise team members and work well with management in meeting targets
• Perform daily accounting function including AP, AR, GL and Bank Reconciliation
• Ensure timely and accurate closing of accounts and preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules

Requirements:

[What you will be working on]

As an intern, you will be required to:

• Conduct on-site visits and document reviews to assess an incentive recipient’s compliance with incentives conditions.
• Prepare review reports documenting the assessment and findings. The intern is required to have strong attention to detail and good analytical skills to conduct thorough and accurate compliance assessments.
• Engage with key stakeholders, including the organization being reviewed, EDB account managers, and policy divisions.  The intern is required to have good communication and interpersonal skills to engage the stakeholders effectively.
• Manage multiple projects, demonstrate good problem-solving skills, and a results-oriented approach to deliver quality outcomes.
• Ensuring service delivery in accordance with pre-defined service level agreements, from planning, fieldwork and reporting.

[What you will be working on]

As our Intern, you will be required to/your deliverables are:

• Process payments to suppliers and reimbursement to staff involved in overseas operations.

• Monitoring accounts receivables, fixed assets, and bank accounts at overseas centres.

• Review, assess and provide recommendations for the assigned area within the overseas operations system and business process review project. For example, an Intern may be assigned to review the current process from procurement to payment for EDB overseas leases that fall under FRS116.

Learning outcomes and other experiences available to the intern as part of the internship:

• Gain insights into overseas operations procurement and finance management

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage daily and monthly billing activities timely and accurately
• Attend to billing queries by internal and external parties

• Liaise with upstream process owners to generate invoices, debit notes, credit notes
