Major Duties & Responsibilities:

Primary / Main (90%)

• Co-ordinate and liaise with respective subsidiaries regarding group conso matters.

• Ensure subsidiaries’ conso package submit for conso on timely basis.

• Prepare month-end, quarter-end, year-end closing, and consolidation financial statements of the Group in accordance with IFRS and Group requirements.

• Prepare statement of group cash flow, necessary supporting schedules and announcement on quarter-end and year-end closing for SGX announcement.

• Ensure closing of group consolidation are on timely basis and information furnished are accurate and in concise manner.

Manage a local subsidiary and its affiliates, encompassing the subsequent areas:

• Review payment vouchers and staff claim.

• Review financial reports and ensure compliance with overall group’s reporting and prescribed standards.

• Monthly preparation of board pack materials and conduct of the monthly board meetings.

• Review GST reports for monthly or quarterly filing to IRAS.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for Listed Company financial accounting & reporting of local & offshore entities
• Review financial accounting and reporting on a monthly basis for listed entities as assigned
• Perform monthly consolidation of local and foreign listed entities
• Continuously improve and optimize financial workflows
• Prepare budget and forecast reports
• Prepare annual financial statements, quarterly GST filings, and inventory costing sheets
• Support external audit requirements
• Collaborate with tax agents and support tax filing processes
• Assist with corporate secretarial matters
• Manage government grant applications & survey submission
• Assist in Half-Year and Year-End Audit
• Analyse Business financials

• Degree in Accounting / Finance
• Min. 5 years of working experience in related field
• Prior experience in a publicly listed company and a solid understanding of Taxation is a plus
• Able to manage complete sets of accounts and conduct group consolidation for multiple entities
• Proven experience in finance, including interaction with bankers and handling trade financing matters
• Proficiency in financial forecasting and data analysis
• Might require working OT during month-end or audit period depending on the situation

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee subsidiaries’ accounts and month-end closing process to ensure timely submission of financial reports
• Responsible for the monthly group financial reporting
• Manage the intercompany reconciliation
• Assist in preparing audited financial statements and annual report
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and government authorities or agency
• Quarterly GST submission

Our client is an European MNC in Manufacturing and MRO Industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a HR & Finance Manager to join their HR and Finance Team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the West area – easily accessible.

Duties of HR & Finance Manager:

• Lead financial closing and analysis.
• Work with external partners (banks, auditors) and prepare financial reports.
• Manage taxes and payments.
• Guide the team and support the managing director in financial matters.
• Handle all HR processes, from recruitment to development and administration.
• Collaborate on local and global HR initiatives.
• Assist with training and development.
• Act as a liaison with government agencies and external legal counsel when needed.
• Any other adhoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or related
• At least 5 years relevant experience with both Finance and HR functions
• Experience in Manufacturing / MRO Industry is an added advantage
• Knowledge of Swiss GAAP, Singapore labour law, IFRS and Singapore Tax

Job Scope:

• Ensure payment postings are posted correctly and updated in the system.
• Generate reports to identify errors for investigation with the laboratory staff and perform reconciliation to ensure no data is lost.
• Ensure timely and accurate billing to external customers
• Work with system vendor to ensure data are fully transferred
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Accountancy and above, or any other equivalent certification/qualification
• Prior accounting experience is an added advantage
• Able to use SAP or Oracle is an added advantage
