Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Operations Team Lead, this role will be responsible for supporting the Finance team on administrative tasks to support finance deliverables and day to day operations. In this critical role of a dynamic growing business, it is an opportunity to gain exposure to finance operations in construction industry and gain experience in Accounts Payable.

Below is a non-exhaustive list of deliveries expected from the candidate. However, it covers the foundation responsibilities and capabilities that are required for the candidate to be successful in role.

• Day-to-day operational tasks including account payables, accounts receivable's and bank reconciliation functions.
• Maintain accurate and thorough finance data records
• Support in any other ad-hoc duties as required by the team
• Adherence to safety in the workplace
• Other administrative scope such as scanning and filing of documents

The ideal candidate should have:

• Diploma graduate in accounting and finance or its equivalent
• Min. 1 year of experience in accounting & finance role
• Detail orientated with a strong professional pride in ensuring tasks are delivered accurately and on-time
• A team player, with a positive proactive approach to managing tasks on hand.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all orders received
• Responsible for handling all aspects of order processing documentation (Sales Order, Purchase Order, preparation of trading documents etc.)
• Monitor and co-ordinate the Purchasing process
• Expenses Accounting

• Order processing and administrative duties
• Other ad-hoc duties
• Communicate and work closely with Clients, Sub-Contractors and Supplier etc

This is a dynamic role where you will be overall responsible for the accounting, finance operation and treasurer activities of the group. Fundamental to the Company’s long-term mission and vision, you would be working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to address the Group’s operational and expansion needs. Depending on the time frame, you would be spearheading various responsibilities including bookkeeping, head-office reporting, statutory compliance submissions, data management, restructuring, consolidation, streamlining of operations and ad-hoc projects.

• At least 5 years of experience at either a reputable audit firm or in an in-house accounting role covering the full set of accounts
• Strong knowledge and understanding of local accounting standards with FRS109 Financial Instruments and FRS110 Consolidated Financial Statements and disclosure requirements.
• Candidates who have experience in handling full-set bookkeeping for start-ups and consolidation will be preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft excel
• Willingness to learn and active team player with strong communication skills
• Demonstrate positive and flexible approach to changing and unstructured environment.
• Meticulous in handling details accurately and efficiently

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for full-set bookkeeping for group which includes general ledger, accounts payable, journals, accruals, and prepayments, as well as preparation of regular periodic closing audit schedules and reconciliation.
• Preparation of Group consolidation across countries.
• Preparation of standalone entities’ financial statements.
• Responsible for the treasury function and preparation of payments and disbursements.
• Address queries and build excellent relationship with external vendors.
• Ownership of financial reporting process and vendor management.
• Responsible for updating and maintenance of financial databases.
• Main liaison with auditors, tax agents, banks and corporate secretary on audit, taxation, banking, and corporate secretarial matters.
• Monitors internal controls effectiveness and control environment.
• Responsible for the restructuring of Group to enhance tax and operational efficiency.
• Manage cash flow and assist with the preparation of operating budgets and forecast.
• Innovate and implement new operational procedures and enhancements.
• Support initiatives and ad-hoc projects relating to Finance and Accounting.
• Support internal stakeholders in their selected practice scope.

Key Accountabilities

General Duties:

- Carry out all AR related functions within finance department, including but not limited to invoice generation, tracking of receipts, preparing reminder letters, debt collections and issuance of debit and credit notes

- Cash counting, donations, counter service of students/parents.

FINANCE MANAGER

A. PRIMARY JOB PURPOSE

Report to the Executive Director the full spectrum of accounting functions and all areas of financial accounting.

B. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

To be responsible for:

· leading monthly accounts closing;

· preparing month end financial closing, general ledger reconciliation;

· maintaining full set of account;

· handling day to day accounting function;

· monitoring of AR/AP Aging;

· maintaining fixed assets register;

· managing of cashflow of fixed deposits

· reviewing monthly Bank Reconciliation;

· performing journal entries and adjustment;

· posting of transactions in the accounting system;

· preparing of monthly Balance Sheet and Income & Expenditure;

· providing financial analysis of revenue, cost and events;

· leading the year-end statutory audit;

· leading any internal or compliance audits;

· submissions to SportSG and Charity Board

To ensure accounting is carried out in proper way in accordance to financial compliance;

To ensure expense claims are in accordance with SBF’s Financial Regulations;

To issue tax-deductible receipts for donations;

To assist in any ad hoc accounting and administrative assignments; and

To perform any other duties assigned by the Employer, Management and or Supervisor.

C. JOB HOLDER REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications and Experience

Degree in Accountancy or relevant qualifications.

Managerial level accounting experience in full set of accounting is preferred.

Prior experience in National Sports Associations, Charities or Grant Accounting is advantageous.

Prior experience with MYOB is advantageous.

Proficient in using Microsoft office especially in Excel and work with strong IT skills.

As our Executive/Senior Executive - Finance , you will be managing the full set of accounts as well as compliance requirements.

● You will be in charge of the GL accounting and Balance Sheet Reconciliations

● You will liaise with the auditors, manage and drive the internal and Statutory Audit to closure, including the Tax Audits and other ac-hot audit assignments

● You will interact and resolve all the audit queries as and when they may arise though General ledger (including AP/AR review)

● You will oversee the processing and payment of vendor invoices and employee claims

● You will partner the internal sourcing and procurement team to resolve vendor related issues

● Manage vendor relationship and communicating to vendor on status of payments

● You will be in charge of the month end closure, complete Fixed Assets, Currency Revaluation, Prepayments and Accruals, as well as Revenue/Cost Accrual based on Percentage of Completion within the timeline of the closing

● You will prepare the balance sheet reconciliation schedules for management review

● You will handle the inter-Company Invoicing and Reconciliation, on a monthly basis

● You will be liaise with the tax agent, in charge of Annual Corporate Tax filing, GST filing

REQUIREMENTS

● You held minimum Accounting Diploma with at least 3 years experience in accounting processes and have excellent knowledge in MS Excel
