Job Responsibilities:

You will be taking care of the full spectrum of the group companies’ finance activities, including maintaining the full set of accounts and responsible for its day-to-day accounting functions including but not limited to the following:·

Management of Accounts Receivables such as invoice preparation, revenue collections, credit control;·

Management of Accounts Payable including payment processing to suppliers;·

Perform month-end account closing activities, prepare monthly Bank Reconciliation;·

Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries;·

Maintain the Fixed Assets and loan records;·

Ensure monthly inter-company billing are promptly prepared and balance reconciled;·

Prepare balance sheets, profit, and loss statements, and other financial reports such as sales report, cash flow report, etc.;·

Prepare GST reports for quarterly filling to IRAS;·

Prepare Corporate Tax filing and remittance;·

Assist various departments in accounting issues and queries.

Job Requirements:·

Candidate must possess at least ACCA/ Degree in Accounting or equivalent·

At least 5 years of working experience in handling full set of Account.

Possess good knowledge in accounting entries.·

Proficient in Xero and QuickBooks Accounting Software.·

Fast learner, meticulous, good sense of urgency.·

Independent, able to work with minimal supervision and proactively.·

Able to multi-task, good time management and keeping track of important deadlines.·

Good interpersonal skills and team work, proactive engagement with other function departments to ensure effectiveness of work.

Responsibilities:

• Advise management on the organisation's exposure to risks and the involvement of financial institutions, money market instruments and treasury management functions where applicable
• Analyse and assess the impact of investment decisions on the financial position of the organisation
• Analyse the financial performance and position of the organisation and develop suitable accounting policies to meet reporting requirements
• Analyse, compile and present management information for managerial decision-making
• Calculate accounting ratios relating to profitability, liquidity, efficiency and position
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the organisation's financial system and determine any areas of improvement
• Identify and adopt business intelligence tools to analyse financial data and information
• Identify and calculate both financial and non-financial performance measurements for reporting on the organisation's performance
• Manage a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Oversee the preparation of the organisation's budget
• Plan and coordinate the annual financial audit process
• Provide financial leadership and strategic thinking to support sustainable value-creation
• Resolve issues and deficiencies arising from audit findings
• Respond to internal and external auditors on audit data, variances and audit findings
• Supervise and review the preparation of consolidated financial statements, business activity reports and forecasts for management and external stakeholders
• Supervise the calculation of taxable income and income tax liabilities of the organisation
• Use management information systems strategically for effective management and control of the business

Requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent, ACCA or CA qualified
• At least 5 years of proven record in Logistics industry as Finance Manager
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Words)
• Strong leadership experience in building and scaling teams
• Highly motivated individual, independent and hands-on will be crucial
• Confident communicator with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders with different cultural background
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
• Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

To oversee the Finance Department by ensuring the accounting records are kept in accordance to Town Councils statutory and legislation requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee and lead the Finance Department with the Finance Manager;
• Liaison with auditors, bankers, tax agents, government agencies and etc;
• Establish sound internal financial control and responsible for all statutory reporting;
• Provide financial analysis of the Town Council’s performance and provide financial advisory to Management through monthly and quarterly reporting;
• Prepare financial statements and audit schedules in compliance with accounting standards, statutory and legislation requirements (Town Councils Act and Town Councils Financial Rules) for annual audit review;
• Oversee and work with all levels of stakeholders on annual budget exercise;
• Manage tax related matters and statutory tax submissions;
• Ensure compliance and reporting under the Town Councils Act/Town Councils Financial Rules and other statutory requirements;
• Monitor daily cash flows, cash flow forecast/projections, including treasury-related and fund management related matters of the Town Council;
• Formulate strategic short-term and long-term financial plans for the Town Council;
• Review and make recommendation of process improvements and/or mechanisms to minimize/mitigate financial risks etc;
• Follow-up on auditor’s recommendations and implementation of control measures in day-to-day operations to mitigate/minimize internal control weaknesses;
• Ability to work directly and effectively with all stakeholders of the Town Council including supervising a team of finance staff;
• Keep abreast of changes in financial, statutory and Town Councils regulations and legislation;
• Any other assigned duties/responsibilities as prescribed/assigned by Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Accountancy and/or other accounting qualifications;
• Minimum 5 years of Managerial level with relevant working experience;
• Preferably some working experience in management of Government Finance;
• Ability to demonstrate leadership, management skills and team-player;
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and people management skills;
• Ability to work with all levels of stakeholders; and
• Independent, meticulous and able to work with tight deadlines.
