The Job

• Working as part of the wider Regulatory Reporting team supporting the implementation of Finance Reporting Risk and Control framework by:
• Supporting the end-to-end review of the regulatory reporting process
• Establishing appropriate regulatory reporting controls applicable to downstream regulatory reporting processes based on risk assessments to ensure that the Group’s Regulatory Reporting Framework is met and fully adhered to at site Finance level.

This includes developing monitoring plan, monitoring progress against plan, executing control monitoring, reporting results and developing action plans.
• Monitoring the on-time completion of issues remediation and assessing adequacy of remediation actions are sufficiently address the risk implications. Issues include self-identified issues by Finance, audit findings, internal control issues, and regulatory observations.
• Building effective working relationships within the Finance team at both a local and group level.
• Required to engage regularly with other stakeholders including second line Risk function and Compliance teams, to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of issues as an integral part of the Regulatory Reporting Risk monitoring.
• There may occasionally be exposure to other non-control related activities as well as involvement in coordinating audit activities, assurance review activities, preparing Board papers and other regulatory initiatives.

The Talent

• 8-10 years of relevant working experience in the Finance, Risk & Compliance, Actuarial or Audit functions
• Experience in Regulatory reporting in the insurance industry would be a preferred.
• Understanding of core principles of IFRS4 & 17 is beneficial.
