Our Asia Regulatory Reporting team within Global Banking and Markets is seeking a senior professional who is looking to collaborate with business stakeholders, technology, various Federation teams and non-financial regulatory reporting teams for the implementation of upcoming compliance items and day to day oversight of regulatory reporting requirements.

Global Banking and Markets Regulatory Operations has responsibility for non-financial regulatory reporting for the Asia Swap Dealer reporting obligations to HKMA , MAS, ASIC ,JFSA, as well as other reports to APAC regulators. The Regulatory Operations team’s mission is to support production of various transaction and swap dealer reports within the APAC. The team plays an integral role in ensuring that the Firm meets its regulatory reporting obligations and maintains a high control standard. The Team consists of talented and highly motivated individuals who are extensively involved in the preparation of the mandated reports, as well as the implementation of effective control processes, efficiency initiatives, BCP, and other department initiatives.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

· Develop expert knowledge pertaining to transaction and derivatives regulatory requirements, processes and systems for a number of Regulatory reports

· Oversee the implementation efforts of new rules or changes within existing obligations

· Provide oversight of the impact assessments done on these reports for new markets, new products, business reorganizations, system changes and new/changed regulations

· Investigate, remediate and provide supervisory guidance on issues with these reports and develop control improvements

· Improve current processes, procedures and reports including automation of manual processes

· Contribute to strategic initiatives relating to these reports, for example strategic Technology developments

· Define and provide supervisory oversight for comprehensive project documentation in support of strategic initiatives and change management including: business/functional requirement documents, process flow diagrams and comprehensive data analysis

· Produce test scripts and co-ordinate / participate in testing activities with Operations and Technology

· Work with Legal, Compliance, Technology, other Operations groups and various Business units to manage change programs and issue resolution for these reports

· Act as a risk manager for the firm through ongoing assessment and awareness of the regulatory environment and the firm’s adherence to its reporting obligations

· Be flexible to contribute to other activities within the group where necessary, e.g. daily report production

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree required

· Minimum 10 years of work experience in the Financial Industry

· This person will have successfully worked with complex financial products/functions with experience including data analysis, information technology, business operating processes, regulatory reporting and compliance.

· Experience with derivative products and expertise as a business analyst around regulations like OTC Derivative Reporting to HKMA, JFSA, ASIC and particularly MAS is fundamental to the role.

· Strong People Management – experience of talent and performance management, including coaching and goal setting

· Analytical thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and translate strategy to execution

· Problem solving and documentation skills with an ability to understand complex workflows

· Candidate must be proactive, enthusiastic and team oriented

· Accuracy and attention to detail

The Team

Our Corporate Finance team is focused on assisting diverse client base with their M&A and capital raising requirements. The role provides opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate with other Grant Thornton advisory teams across Singapore and region.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing detailed financial analysis and modeling for M&A and capital raising transactions.
• Conduct company valuations using various methods, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions.
• Prepare pitch decks, proposals, presentations, and investment memorandums for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support due diligence processes by gathering, analysing, and interpreting financial data
• Conduct company, industry, market and valuation research
• Assist leaders in executing corporate finance transactions, including coordinating with clients, investors and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• For Associate, at least 1 year of M&A and/or capital raising deal experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or financial consulting. For Senior Associate, at least 2 – 3 years of experiences in M&A and/or capital raising deal experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or financial consulting
• Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency with valuation techniques
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills

Key Requirements:

1) Can effectively reduce operational risks.

2) Good knowledge of AML/TFC.

3) Proficient in SWIFT, MEPS+, CTS, and IBG operations.

4) Understanding of SWIFT and familiarity with international payment conventions & practices.

5) Comprehensive understanding of operational policies and procedures.

6) Good interpersonal communication skills.

7) At least 3-5 years of experience in Remittance/Payment operations.

Responsibilities:

1) Process daily transactions involving Time Deposits, Cross-Border Remittances, Interbank Transfers, MEPS+, and Internal Fund Transfers, Foreign Exchange, Cheque, GIRO, including conducting initial level Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks.

2) Take part in industry testing for CTS and G3.

3) Handle inquiries from various departments or correspondent banks.

4) Account maintenance, account opening and offer support throughout the client onboarding process.

5) Participate in tasks related to Know Your Customer (KYC).

6) Data management.

7) Perform any other tasks that are assigned by the Department Head.
