In this role, the successful candidate will be working alongside Partners and principal consultant across the M&A teams to offer Transaction Advisory Services to financial institutions and infrastructure operators. You will work closely with energy / power companies, private equity firms and investments banks to deliver technical due diligence services on buy side, sell side and project financing deals.

Job Description

M&A within ERM Global has a core technical team of over 50+ technical consultants delivering technical due diligence out of EMEA, USA and APAC. We often work in close collaboration with our global ESG and EHS due diligence teams, to provide a holistic due diligence service to our client. Due to increasing client demand in APAC, we are looking to expand this offering further within the technical service line, based out of Singapore.

As a Managing Consultant (Finance), you will be expected to:

• Assist / lead delivery of proposals, which will include development of our company profile, technical scopes of work, scheduling and commercial terms;
• Assist / lead on multiple projects that provide our clients with a business plan evaluation of their proposed investment on infrastructure assets;
• Lead the coordination of typical project deliverables such as Q&A submission, management sessions, client meetings and report delivery;
• Work effectively across technical communities within ERM and subcontractors who are identified as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support project delivery and client interaction; and
• Complete internal development tasks to improve the functionality of ERM’s Transaction Advisory service line.

Job Requirements and Skills

• A solid academic background with a financial bias (for example, Corporate Finance, Finance, Investment, Financial Economics).
• 6 to 8 years of financial consulting or investment experience during your career within the energy / power / infrastructure sectors.
• Strong financial analysis skills and the ability to identify risks and opportunities within technical documentation.
• Knowledge of current, reasonable costs associated with Capex (Capital Expense) and Opex (Operational Expense) for engineering assets / projects within the energy / power / infrastructure sectors
• Experience reviewing Financial Models, industry benchmarking, budgets and financial forecasts for industrial / infrastructure / power / energy projects.
• Experience in a client facing role discussing financial models, Capex and Opex projections.
• Experience understanding financial and technical evaluations, relating to points such as asset integrity, operational performance, management systems or business plans.

Responsibilities:

• Manage full spectrum of AP, AR and GL function that include suppliers invoices, staff claims, wire transfer and receipts and journals
• Responsible for the effective monitoring of operational Cash Flow, preparation of Cash Flow working and Sales & Purchases report for closing
• Preparation of intercompany reconciliations
• Supporting and providing advice to subsidiaries, representative offices
• Reviewing of representative office (Indonesia), supplier invoices, claims and wire transfer
• Responsible for timely and accurate monthly financial closing
• Liaising with external parties including auditors, bankers, tax authorities and other statutory compliances
• Facilitate and support expatriates personal income tax or tax clearance submission by preparing and collecting information to HR.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting / ACCA or its equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a full spectrum of Financial and Management Accounting function in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology context, preferably with a multi-country background.
• An analytical and strategic thinker with focus on details.
