The Business Manager in Banking is responsible for driving business growth, managing client relationships, and overseeing the performance of various banking products and services. Job Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution:

- Develop and implement business strategies to improve processes, develop efficiencies and reduce cost.

Market Research and Analysis:

- Occasionally conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.

- Analyze market data to inform business decisions and strategy.

Risk Management:

- Understand the Risk and Governance Structure for SFDA in the context of the bank.

- Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.

- Ensure that all business processes, and implementation of new policies comply with regulatory standards.

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and regulatory groups and entities.

Job Requirements

• Recognised degree or equivalent
• 5-7 years of experience in business management, operations or related role preferably in the Finance Industry, project managment experience is a plus
• Strategic Planning - Ability to develop and implement business plans that align with organizational goals
• Financial Management - Proficiency in managing budgets
• Project Management experience - Understanding Project Framework, Analysis of problems, and able to propose sensible and realistic solutions

• Provide effective support to the School in teaching, including development and maintenance of academic standards.

• Administer the setting and marking of coursework and examination.
• Review and ensure the quality of examination papers under area(s) of specialisation.
• Manage the moderation of coursework and examination results.
• Conduct objective assessments on examination appeal cases.
• Monitor student progress through the application of formative and summative assessment strategies that support appropriate feedback and skills development.

• Advise students with respect to academic performance, career opportunities, and pursuit of advanced studies.
• Ensure that programme design and delivery is consistent with the academic framework and quality standards and regulations of PSB Academy.

Research & Knowledge Exchange

• Expected to have knowledge and understanding of e-learning platforms such as Blackboard etc.
• Represent the School in selected academic committee, where necessary.

Others

• Represent and participate in marketing events for the School.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Degree (at least a pass at GCE ‘O’ level or its equivalent in the language medium of the programme/module.)

Candidate should ensure that the team meets the expectation of the bank policy for BAU and ensure that the targeted timeline is met. In addition, he/she will be required to liaise with the local AML officers concerning business-view on specific AML/KYC related topics.

In his/her function as a Documentation/KYC Expert, the candidate should be able to handle the daily BAU responsibilities on top of monitoring team performance and reporting on metrics. It involves close collaboration with AML, Compliance, ORM, Front Office and Legal.

• Responsible for ensuring timely, complete and accurate processing of account opening (including performing all relevant controls) for individual and corporate accounts, KYC reviews and timely escalation/reporting of any discrepancies.
• Review all account opening and other supporting documents required for individual and KYC information updated in the system
• Provide expert advice on documentation to Client Advisors on complex account structures
• Perform name searches in the bank approved search engines
• Liaise with KYC / AML team / COO office as appropriate for the account setup
• Monitor document deficiencies as per bank control procedures
• Training of Front office staff on legal documents and KYC related subjects
• Ensure the escalation of operational, regulatory and other risks to line manager and functional leads as appropriate; contributes to the development and implementation of mitigation or control solutions
• To enhance Client risk assessments and various MIS reports for management reporting to facilitate review in managing risk and strengthening the control procedures and processes
• To understand and maintain the Bank Global KYC/ AML Standards, Account Documentation procedures, Local Laws and Regulations and implement related control processes
• Escalation of operational, regulatory and other risks to line manager and functional leads as appropriate; contributes to the development and implementation of mitigation or control solutions.
• Involved in design and implementation of strategies to ensure continuous process with the WM COO and Change functions to scope and define change projects to deliver process and performance improvement

The Talent

• At least 2 - 3 years of experience in dealing with private banking clients on KYC related matters
• Diploma / Degree majoring in Banking, Accountancy or Business Administration or related discipline preferred
• Knowledgeable and experienced in operations, account documentation, risk management, Sophisticated AML/KYC knowledge and experience in banking or financial industry for at least 1-3 years
• Strong customer relationship, communication and presentation skills
• Strong process and project management experience would be an advantage
