A leading multinational mining group is looking for a Trade Finance & Shipping Documents Officer (12 months contract) – up to $4,800 (+ completion bonus).
Your new role
We are looking for a Trade Finance and Shipping Documents Officer to perform the Contract to Cash (CTC) activities plus support the development of KPIs and analytics.
The Bulk Pacific Commercial Services team is responsible for all revenue and expense accounting functions for iron ore, salt, bauxite and alumina sales. This includes ensuring that appropriate credit risk mitigation tools are in place, appropriate shipping related documents are produced, and that commercial invoices and other documents are produced to banks/customers in a timely, accurate manner to ensure maximisation of cash flow.
This role is a great opportunity for a professional who is eager to progress into a role with end-to-end accountability and responsibility for our CTC process and have the experience in supporting the development of new KPIs, system enhancements and process automations.
This role requires an experienced professional with trade finance/ shipping documents ops and overall CTC process background. Working within the Commercial Services Team and reporting to the Supervisor – Trade Finance and Shipping Documents (Bulk Pacific), you will be:
Key Accountabilities:
· Execute Letter of Credit process and ensure timelines are met timely and efficiently
· Generate shipping documents and maintain relevant databases
· Liaise with shipping agents and Marine team to guarantee prompt and accurate shipping docs issuance
· Support compliance with policies related to trade finance and shipping documents
· Manage individual knowledge levels, identifying areas for growth and development.
· Working closely with multiple stakeholders to improve level of services and processes to meet the business requirements maintaining a positive relationship.
· Provide input to standard cyclical reports (weekly and monthly).
· Support business process, digital and automation improvements to effectively and efficiently deliver customer service solutions to the business
What you'll need to succeed
· A Bachelor Degree/Diploma or equivalent
· Previous experience with sales contract processing and order management experience
· Usage of SAP
· Shipping knowledge, UCP600 and Incoterms experience will be an added advantage
