• Investigate and report discrepancies and irregularities arising from transactions, system failure, etc and resolve issues including handling stakeholder’s complaints and escalating all issues to Team Lead / Deputy Group Head / Group Head promptly.
• Prepare reports that summarize team activities and quality metrics.
• Collaborate to improve workflow, suggest enhancements, and support the implementation of improvement actions.
• Other tasks as assigned by Group Head / Team Lead.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the banking industry with exposure to AML Screening and/or Trade AML
• Able to link diverse information to build a full picture and spot inconsistencies
• Possesses knowledge of MAS regulation on AML and Sanctions requirements including KYC, Screening.
• Strong team player
• Good communications skills, hands on, independent and proactive in carrying out investigation on customers and/or transactions. Able to work with front office and operation team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support daily operations in processing transactions in an accurate and timely manner.
• Investigate and report discrepancies and irregularities arising from transactions and resolve issues.
• Verify counter-party confirmation and send tracer as and when required.
• Prepare MTM reports for customers.
• Perform Cashflow Funding duty.
• Monitor activities offshored.
• Ensure prompt submission of statistical reports to local management, Head Office and MAS.
• Regular update of group procedure manual (BOP) to ensure the group operations is in accordance to SMBC policies, audit comments and in compliance to local as well as related overseas law and regulations.
• To participate and be familiar with BCP procedures and processes in BCP drills.
• To perform duties assigned by supervisor, Group Head or Management and cover the duties and responsibilities of staff in the event of an emergency/crisis.
• To ensure operations is in accordance with local laws and related overseas laws and regulations, Head Office policies and Branch procedures.

• Handle feedback and MPS email.
• Handle petty cash
• Update tracking list for refund of permit deposit for all division
• Checking system generated notice
• Prepare weekly call centre reports and duty roster for call centre
• Manage Cashier and counter duties

You are:

• Proficiency in managing Giro transactions and related tasks.
• Ability to handle and respond to feedback and MPS (Mail Processing System) emails.
• Experience in managing and reconciling petty cash.
• Skill in updating tracking lists for permit deposit refunds across all divisions.
• Capable of checking and verifying system-generated notices.
• Experience in preparing weekly call centre reports and creating duty rosters.
• Ability to manage cashier responsibilities and handle counter duties efficiently
