Regional Finance Manager

Sephora seeks to appoint a Regional Finance Manager (for SEA, India and Oceania), reporting to the Regional Finance Director. We would love to hear from you if you are/have…

• At least 8 years of professional experience with solid accounting, finance management, FP&A background, preferably from the retail or FMCG industry
• Prior experience in financial controlling is a plus

• Experience in partnering with commercial functions within similar industries will be of advantage (ie. Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain etc)
• Proficiency in SAP, Jedox and/or other performance management software

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the finance manager in the preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly management reports for the companies under the Private Mobility Group
• Assist the finance manager in guiding the finance team and providing sound accounting knowledge
• Prepare monthly accounts, including the preparation and post of recurring journal entries
• Perform analytical review procedures of balance sheet and follow up with variance explanations and resolutions
• Prepare GST return, corporate tax and deferred taxation and liaise with tax agent to ensure timely filing
• Engage with external financial auditors on audit, tax and accounting issues to ensure smooth closure of year-end financial audit

Role summary:

They are looking for an ambitious individual with entrepreneurial spirit to join our Commercial – Origination team with a focus in Structuring and Solutioning. The individual will have a positive and friendly attitude with three primary areas of responsibilities

(1) developing client value proposition in the space of supply chain finance

(“SCF”) and receivables finance (“RF”);

(2) Managing business and deal enablement;

(3) Leading end-to-end deal execution

Responsibilities:

(1) Developing client value proposition

 Co-develop SCF and RF product (“Product”) strategy based on market insights, existing gaps, and exploring opportunities along with Corporate Coverage.

 Develop bespoke transaction structures which fulfils client needs and address clients’ pain points with appropriate risk mitigation solutions for internal stakeholders and investors.

 Provide market feedback to Trade Product team to develop or enhance product and system.

(2) Managing business and deal enablement

 Lead the deal team to ensure timely achievement of execution timeline and escalate gaps to deal team.
