• Technical expertise in Java development and associated frameworks (Struts, Spring and Hibernate).
• Extended understanding on Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Security, AOP, Data, Integration, Transaction, Batch etc.), preferably with SpringBoot.
• Excellent knowledge in Hibernate/JPA framework.
• Experience working with WildFly or similar Java EE application servers.
• Experience working with front-end frameworks like Angular/React with good user interface (UI) skills in general.
• Experience in designing and implementing microservices architecture and APIs with emphasis on scalability and performance.
• Extensive experience developing API (WSO2, Kong) with associated security constraints.
• Hands-on experience with S3 and Kafka.
• Knowledge on Business Process Modeling and Notation (BPMN) tools like Flowable for creating and managing business process workflows.
• Solid database skills (SQL, SQL Server, stored procedure).
• Good experience on DevOps/DevSecOps tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Nexus, Maven / Gradle, SONAR, CheckMarx.
• Familiarity with JUnit or other testing frameworks.
• Comfortable with source code management system such as GIT.
• Experience with Eclipse/IntelliJ.

Additional Technical Requirements (good to have):

• Familiarity with Liquibase.
• Experience using Github Copilot.

THE COMPANY

This is an established brand name and the company is well-known in the market for their products and services. Currently, the bank seeks for an Operational Risk (Senior Officer/Assistant Manager) to be part of their risk team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• BCP/BCM exercise (Conduct BCM test (call tree exercise and ensure compliance of BCM framework to regulatory requirements)
• Outsourcing/Analyze impact on operational risk (New transactions, New products, New technologies, Any amendments/updates to existing processes)
• Review impact on operational risk
• Ensure compliance of bank’s policies
• Ascertain current/future risk areas
• Propose recommendations and report on operational risk findings
• Follow up progress of any previous Internal/external audit or MAS or Head office findings/action plans and issues have been resolved
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Any other adhoc duties

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Accountancy/Commerce/ACCA or any other relevant education
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Operational risk (BCP Management and outsourcing) in Banking and/or financial institutions
• Sharp, focus, analytical and has good interpersonal and communication skills
