The ideal candidate will assist with financial reporting, accounting, and administrative tasks while ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Job Responsibilities

1. Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets.
2. Support the analysis of financial data to identify trends and variances.
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
4. Assist with journal entries, ledger reconciliations, and month-end closing.
5. Monitor accounts receivable and payable and ensure timely invoicing and payments.
6. Support in preparing documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
7. Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal control policies.
8. Manage petty cash and expense reimbursement processes.
9. Assist with payroll processing and related record-keeping.
10. Identify opportunities for improving efficiency in financial processes.
    Implement best practices for financial record management.
    

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).

Work Schedule

• Hours: 9:30am-6:30pm once per week

This role oversees the full spectrum of finance operations, including forecasting, financial reporting, and corporate compliance. As the Head of Finance, you will ensure the organization’s financial health and adherence to local regulations. You will also serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, providing financial insights to support key business decisions.

A key focus of this role is commercial finance management, where you will evaluate financial terms for potential clients, highlight risks, and propose solutions to drive sustainable growth. You will also lead the organization’s forecasting processes, preparing annual, quarterly, and monthly forecasts for P&L and balance sheets while managing narratives, financial analysis, and system updates.

In financial reporting and compliance, you will supervise monthly closing activities and manage project revenue recognition and reconciliation. Additionally, you will work with auditors and external advisors to ensure the timely publication of the annual report.

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong foundation in accounting, with expertise in both financial and management accounting.
