Key accountability (Main purpose of this job):

· Prepare and review letters of credit, bank guarantees, and other trade finance instruments.

· Manage the shipping documents for presentation under letter of credit

· Ensuring that all transactions are executed according to internal guidelines and external regulatory requirements.

· Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise during the trade finance process, including disputes over letters of credit, payment terms, and documentation.

· Ensuring timely processing of cargo payments and managing cash positions with the Banks

• Managing key claims handling enquiry; coverage determination, quantum analysis and legal liability assessment, where appropriate within authority limits and providing a consistently strong standard of customer service.

About the team

Job Summary:

Looking for a driven individual who like to pursue a career in the banking industry. You’ll be tasked to assist various stakeholders in financial controlling of business unit and supporting business activities.

Additionally, you will play a vital role in delivering all tasks in an efficient and timely manner while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and country legislations.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze documentation and processes to ensure risks and control points are properly addressed, and are in accordance with Risk and Control Self-Assessments Policies
• Coordinate and conduct the overall Control Tests and Reviews for the business as part of Quarterly Risk Assessment (QRA), track the status, ensure timely completion, and escalate exceptions to management team.
• Work with business and stakeholders to implement and ensure ongoing monitoring of the Digital Retrieval Program, escalate and remediate any gaps identified through this program.
• Partner closely with business stakeholders to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policy requirements across key / complex risk levels, including impact assessment for any regulatory and policy change. Support the business in the root cause analysis, draft the appropriate corrective action plans, close monitoring on the progress of such action plans.
• Track issue and CAP status and progress, and early escalation to the senior management team of any issues and CAPs that are at risk of missing their target dates at least 30 days ahead of the targeted closure date; support the business on ‘at-risk’ issues and CAPs
• End-to-end management of the Sales Practice Reviews, liaising with stakeholders for timely and appropriate case reviews, escalate and remediate any gaps identified through this review.
• Good understanding of operational risk and control processes is a plus point, good stakeholder management skills (verbal/written communications, ability to influence and negotiate), able to communicate effectively with stakeholders
