Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:

Job Description

• Perform full spectrum of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties;
• AP function which includes data entry of supplier invoices, process payments and suppliers reconciliation;
• AR function include data entry of all receipts;
• Maintain petty cash float and reimbursement of staff claims;
• Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet schedules;
• Preparation of audit schedules and liaising with external auditor during annual audit;
• Prepare monthly journal entries for accruals, deferred income, depreciation etc, ensuring all transactions are properly supported with documentation;
• Assist with performing month-end and year-end accounts closing activities;
• Assist walk-in Cash Donation;

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Accounting & Finance or equivalent;

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager to manage the financial operations of our Southeast Asia entities. You will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting functions, including GST submissions, corporate tax filings, accounts payable and receivable, cash flow management, and treasury. Additionally, you will play a critical role in financial planning and analysis, reporting, compliance, and financial systems management. This role also includes building and leading a finance team while working closely with senior management to drive financial strategies that support the company's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Operations Management

• Oversee Regional Finance Activities: Manage financial operations for Southeast Asia entities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and alignment with company policies.
• Accounting Functions: Supervise daily accounting processes, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations.
• GST Submission & Corporate Tax Filing: Oversee the preparation and timely submission of GST returns and corporate tax filings across Southeast Asia, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.
• Treasury Management & Cash Flow: Manage liquidity and cash flow for Southeast Asia operations. Oversee daily cash management, cash forecasting, and working capital optimization.

2. Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes across Southeast Asia entities, working with business units to establish financial targets and performance metrics.
• Financial Performance Analysis: Provide insightful financial analysis, including variance analysis, financial forecasting, and scenario planning to senior management.
• Strategic Financial Insights: Offer recommendations based on financial data to support business growth, cost management, and profitability improvements.

3. Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Financial Reporting: Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring that reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with local accounting standards and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (required).
• Professional Certification such as CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent is preferred.

Experience

• At least 5-7 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proven experience overseeing financial operations across multiple countries in Southeast Asia (e.g., Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia).
• Experience in managing GST submissions, corporate tax filings, treasury, cash flow, accounts payable and receivable, and internal controls.
• Experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial reporting, and managing audits.
• Demonstrated experience with financial systems management (e.g., ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).

Responsibilities:

• To assist in issuing invoices to customers using ERP system for Singapore & overseas subsidiaries on timely manner.
• To assist in recording AR receipts into the accounting system and to ensure all AR collection is up to date.
• To generate payment vouchers to vendors so that AP schedule is according to the payment cycle.
• To update vendors invoices into the accounting system from time to time so that AP ageing is constantly updated.
• To review, check and verify staff claims so that all the claims are comply with the employee’s handbook guidelines and claims procedures.
• To check vendors’ SOA and compare the figures to our system to ensure no invoices are omitted.
• To assist in month end closing activities in term of bank reconciliation, GL, accrual, depreciation and prepayment entries.
• To prepare inter-company billings and ensure that all business transactions are properly recorded to the respective entities.
• To assist in GST quarterly filling for Singapore registered entities, and SST filing for overseas entities.
• To work closely with local subsidiaries/ auditors/ tax agents/ vendors to ensure that all financial transactions and records are in accordance with applicable local accounting standards, as well as statutory and tax requirements.
• To maintain property asset register and review property capital expenditure.
• To ensure the maintenance of adequate internal controls, proper accounting practices across the group, and ongoing compliance with group policies/statutory requirements.
• To liaise with external auditors, taxation officers and corporate secretarial company.

Candidate requirements:

• Possess a Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience, and experience in group accounting will be an added advantage.
• Must know how to do full sets of accounts, and knowledge in consolidation experience is a plus.
• Good knowledge in Singapore tax, audit and accounting laws, practices and regulations.
• Ability to analyse financial statements and is able to identity errors in financial reporting.
• Organised and able to prioritise work to meet deadlines effectively.
