Job Summary
This is the most senior finance role for a specific geography or business within Survitec. It manages and coordinates the designated financial function, including general accounting, cost management, budgeting and payroll, in accordance with corporate policies and procedures to meet Survitec’s business requirements and objectives
Duties and responsibilities
· Communicates the finance strategy and its relationship to Survitec’s mission, vision and values. Clarifies the actions needed to implement it within the area of responsibility. Motivates people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve Survitec’s business goals
· Leads and coordinates the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines and protocols within the region, anticipating complex issues, challenges and opportunities, and ensuring integration with wider business and functional strategy
· Leads the provision of specialist support within the region, ensuring effective decision making, financial management and reporting
· Undertakes and commissions strategic and tactical financial analysis, modelling and evaluation to support business leaders in their decision making
· Makes authoritative recommendations that have a significant impact on the business over the short and long term
· Leads financial risk assessment process for the region, ensuring risk is identified, managed and reported effectively and that appropriate controls are in place. Contributes to the development and implementation of wider risk management policies and procedures
· Leads the development of financial systems for the region, ensuring alignment with Survitec business objectives and wider Finance strategy. Owns the governance of finance systems for a designated geography or business within Survitec, ensuring ensure they adhere to group accounting and statutory rules
· Provides authoritative specialist advice to senior managers within the region, enabling effective and controlled implementation of policy, projects and change initiatives
· Identifies and communicates the actions needed to implement the finance strategy and business plan within the region, explaining the relationship to the broader Survitec mission, vision and values. Motivate people to commit to these actions and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals
· Manages and reports on performance within the local finance team. Sets appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and holds them accountable for achieving these. Takes appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives
· Evaluates the capabilities of staff within the department to identify gaps and prioritise development activities. Implements Survitec formal development frameworks within the local finance team, coaching and mentoring others to support the development of the overall talent pool
· Supports production of operational strategic plan, budget and forecast model

Job Requirements:
· More than 15 years of relevant experience with 5 years’ experience at similar position. Experience in Marine industry is a plus.
· Candidates with MBA in Finance and Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations are highly desirable.
· Experience providing wide and deep accounting and/or audit competence, including complex international organisations.
· 10 years of Experience interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives within medium to long time frames.
· Experience in partnering with an executive team, and have a high level of written and oral communication skills.
· Strong understanding of financial reporting, proven analytical skills, able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers.
· Excellent communication skills. Proven track record in building relationships and working with a various levels of people Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.
· Fluent in both written and verbal English to liaise with relative parties.
· Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skill.
· Able to multi-task with ability to navigate in a dynamic fast paced environment.
· Proven ability to implement policies/initiatives across the different countries and diverse cultures.
