About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Manager to lead our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. You will lead a team of 4 finance staff and play a crucial role in driving financial success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 4 finance staff. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  
• Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), cash flow management, and payments processing. Ensure accurate and prompt billing and timely collections. Resolve customer billing inquiries and address any related issues. Streamline financial processes to improve efficiency.
  
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Prepare and submit timely financial reports to Corporate Finance every month. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, assess performance, and provide valuable insights to management.
  
• Prepare and file quarterly GST returns. Liaise with tax agents to ensure timely filing of annual tax returns.
  
• Lead the annual budgeting process, including developing and monitoring budgets for various departments. Conduct cost analysis and sales analysis to support business decisions.
  
• Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and internal controls. Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and procedures.
  
• Liaise with external auditors on annual financial audits and ensure audited accounts are filed with ACRA on time.
  
• Oversee and participate in ad-hoc finance projects as needed.
  
• Partner closely with the accounting outsourcing team to ensure accurate and timely month-end closing. Collaborate with other departments to support their financial needs.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a finance management role.
• Proven experience leading and managing a high-performing finance team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Job Description

· Support internal accounting work including preparing monthly management accounts and financial statements.

· Coordinate and liaise with external service providers, including advisors, tax agents, corporate secretaries and auditors.

· Update weekly cash flows, and assist with quarterly GST filings, financial budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections.

· Maintain financial records and databases including fixed asset register, intercompany transactions.

· Responsible for bank account management and bank account opening, and assisting with AML/KYC checks.

· Support and assist with tax filings and payments, compliance reporting and statutory filings.

· Support the processing of payments and claims.

· Take on ad-hoc duties when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Financial accounting and bookkeeping
• Handle day-to-day financial operations within the company & group (payroll, invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and other transactions)
• Record accounts payable and staff claims and process payment
• Follow up on accounts receivable collections.
• Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.
• Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions and perform timely reconciliations.
• Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements (eg. GST submission).
• Liaise with various internal parties such as key account managers and external parties such as bankers, suppliers, sub-contractors and auditors.
• Conduct variance analysis, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to the leadership team.
• Review consolidation package done by subsidiary companies and report to HQ.
• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Ideally 5 years of relevant working experience in handing full sets of accounts. Prior experience in project accounting will be an advantage.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Willing to coach and support other team members.
• Meticulous with attention to details and have good organizational skills.
• Positive attitude towards problem solving and ability to think creatively.
• A multi-tasker and learner with self-motivation and integrity.

Responsibilities:

· Updating and reconciliation of receipts from insurance companies, private and corporate customers, inter-companies, Lazada/Shopee accounts etc. against bank statement;

· Clearing of Statement of Recovery Accounts (SORA) for accident repairs;

· Reconciliation of incidental costs against contractors’ high liabilities,

· Check and follow up invoices not release to accounting;

· Credit evaluation, credit limit overview and release of sales order for credit control;

· Generation of reports such as debtors ageing summary, statement of accounts to customers etc.;

· Preparation of audit schedules;

· Month end check on bank statement to ensure all receipts are taken up;

· Preparation of AR related journals;

· Preparation of AR related management meeting;

· Preparation of bank-in slips for cheques received;

· Other ad-hoc functions.

Requirements:

· Diploma in Accounting or equivalent

· At least with 2 years of relevant working experience

· Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel/Word/Powerpoint)

· Knowledge and experience in SAP accounting system would be an advantage

· Meticulous with strong analytical and problem solving skills

· Good team player and enjoy working in a fast paced environment

· Good interpersonal and communication skills
