Purpose of the Role

You will be a part of the Asian Investment Banking Division (“AIBD”) that sits in the front line, responsible for the promotion of Corporate & Investment Banking (“CIB”) products and services in the Asia and Oceania region, covering both Global Corporates and Japanese Corporates. The Portfolio Management Department is a key function in AIBD that takes over the management of structured loans originated in AIBD, including real estate, oil and gas, infrastructure, renewables, energy and utilities, to monitor and enhance the credit quality of the portfolio through direct engagement of external and internal stakeholders and through credit risk assessment and support.

Your role will entail managing a portfolio of structured finance assets across Asia originated in Project Finance (power, natural resources, and infrastructure) and Shipping Finance. A key objective of the role is to provide strategic insight to the portfolio as first line of defence.

Job Responsibilities:

You will play an important role in our team by taking on responsibilities that include (but are not limited to):

Client Management and Strategy

• Active management of the overall risk profile of assets throughout project life, including ongoing monitoring of client and project conditions, proactive risk identification, recommendation of risk mitigants, and Management reporting.
• Implementation of solutions through stakeholder negotiations with clients, bank syndicates, external specialist advisors and internal stakeholders, including negotiation of waiver terms and amendment documents.

- Point of contact for users across the BANKS for data issue escalations. The EDM team ensures that data hosted in data warehouse is of good quality and conforms to data standards such as completeness, accuracy and consistency, to support regulatory and management reports. • Works with the testing service providers and other UOB stakeholders to review, provide feedback and sign off on the test strategy, test plans and other test service providers’ artefacts for the testing service delivery
• Coordinates with the Test Governance team to ensure adoption of testing methods, standards and tools, and to coordinate any health checks or audits
• Ensures that any changes to the scope of services are communicated to the respective test service providers and the impact is factored in to the plan
• Engages with various UOB stakeholders (including but not limited to, application, security, infrastructure, business), testing service providers to ensure testing services meet the banks’ objectives and demand
• Act as the first point of escalation for any issues raised by UOB stakeholders, testing service providers
• Quantify, manage, track and report test related statuses, SLA and KPIs, and ensure that defined testing transformation SLA and KPI targets are met for the portfolio accountable
• Drive and collaborate with all UOB stakeholders and test service providers to plan all testing related deliveries for the portfolio accountable
• Participate and contribute in forums, as required, to drive testing transformation and innovation
• Works closely with the Test Engineering Lead to provide inputs around domain specific test engineering requirements and ensure that they are met

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in computer engineering or related field
• Proven working experience in test delivery or equivalent role with at least 10 years’ relevant experience in large and complex organizations preferably in the area of Banking and Finance and at least 5 years’ senior manager experience in testing
