Job Summary

Proactively manage the order to remittance (OTR) from a project finance perspective and partner the Operations teams to forecast and advise on projects financial position and performance. Projects Finance OTR Analyst has an overall responsibility to manage his/her portfolio of projects in ensuring project Financials (reporting, controlling, coordinating) after tender phase till contract closure, focusing on transparency, accuracy, efficiency of the project working capital, margin, and cash.

• Have full knowledge, monitoring and control over financial movements from order booking, revenue recognition, margin recognition, billings, and cash flow. Assisting the Finance Manager in the following activities:

Banking:

Others:

A TYPICAL DAY

For goods or services received or completed, we will complete the GRN process and prepare relevant documents digitally for payment. Preparing payment to vendors and staff in compliance with financial policies and procedures. There are times we will need to engage in quick short discussions with individuals or a group and be always ready to face an inevitable situation while we are in a school. Hence, one needs to be witted to make a firm decision.

• Issue invoices and credit notes for tuition fees and other fees in a timely fashion.

A TYPICAL DAY

The first task of the day is to look through the collections from the previous day and update the respective system while sending out receipts to parents. My other daily activities include loading up the Data Portal for daily billing and issuing invoices to parents. At certain times of the month, ad hoc billings such as rental of facilities will take place which involve me liaising with the relevant department before issuing the invoices. At the same time I will also be managing finance email queries/phone queries from parents - this is an essential task that needs to be carried out as and when necessary throughout the day. After lunch, I will follow up the collections of the different programmes and events, preparing the daily data entries in the respective systems. These daily preparations are to ensure that all finance-related data is accurate and loaded in time for mid month, month end and year end reconciliation and account closing.
