We are hiring a Product Finance Head ("PFH") for one of our Agri Trading vertical. This role will be a strategic partner to the business, providing financial stewardship and analytical insights to drive growth. Responsibilities include evaluating operational processes, supporting planning and forecasting and conducting asset and operational control reviews. You will also be responsible for business support in overseas subsidiaries through implementing sound business controls and operational practices. As the PFH, you will oversee complex fiscal reporting activities across regions, assess risks, and manage multiple time zones, including travel to underdeveloped countries.

I. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

(a) Finance & Accounting Operations

• Lead and oversee statutory, tax, and management reporting for the relevant business division and units.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of reports, while maintaining proper accounting, bookkeeping, and system processes.
• Establish and enforce standardized regional controls for Balance Sheet accounts.
• Coordinate internal and external audit reviews within the region.

• Ensure strict compliance with banking covenants/regulations, streamline processes, and finance managers cultivate positive relationships with banking partners to enhance financial efficiency for overseas units.

• Facilitate cost management for the business division and provide visibility on expenses.
• Build strong relationships with Group Function Managers in areas such as Risk, Legal, Finance, and IT.

(b) Internal Control and Governance

• Supporting division HQ and overseas units to improve profitability through implementation of robust financial controls and operational practices.
• Ensuring effective internal controls over the division HQ and entities operations to ensure assets protection and operational oversight.
• Developing and improving internal controls and processes to ensure financial integrity and business assurance.
• Providing inputs, feedback and support for risk assurance in HQ and country operations to Risk team
• Monitoring and driving credit limits and inventory controls.

(c) Financial Planning & Analysis

• Identify opportunities for financial optimization, cost reduction, and revenue enhancement.
• Analyse forward P & L and Mark to market ensure & support value maximization initiatives (interest, Trade Finance, currency management, capital returns improvement etc)
• Collaborate with trading team to address business goals, initiatives, and projects, including operation improvement, ROI evaluation, and project modelling.
• Provides high-quality financial analysis and commentary for regular business performance reviews to support senior management in decision making.
• Take a hands-on approach to resolving issues and exploring new opportunities, influencing others along the way.

(d) People Management

• Coach, counsel, and discipline employees to develop and maintain a motivated finance team.
• Plan, monitor, and appraise jobs to ensure effective performance.
• Facilitate training and information sharing within for financial and internal control matters.

II. JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

(i) Education background/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounts or its equivalent - ACCA/CPA/CA or equivalent certification.

(ii) Working experience:

• 15 years working experience, including 10 years in commodity sector with cross-border dealings.
• Preference for candidates having some Developing countries’ local exposures including forex
• Successfully led and managed teams at both the headquarters and regional business unit levels.

(iii) Skills:

• Proven track record in strong Finance leadership, preferably in a multi-site, multi-Business Unit environment.

As Head- NRI Banking, you would be responsible for the entire franchise of Retail Banking and Private Banking for NRI customers at ICICI Bank Ltd., Singapore Branch.

Business Development and Customer Service:

• Deepening presence of Bank in the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) Retail & Private Banking segment in South East Asia, within permissible guidelines
• Doing market scoping to understand the market size for the Branch, Branch penetration, and competition landscape, identifying key potential target customer problems & opportunities and accordingly designing the pitch book for each business segment.
• Laying down the strategy for each segment with milestones, building the team with right skill set and ensuring business is run in a compliant manner.
• Identifying potential synergies between different business segments and ensuring its implementation.
• Laying down marketing strategy for Retail and Private Banking business, while organizing & participating in events, within permissible guidelines
• Meeting key clients in all the business segments and meeting prospective customers along with the relationship managers
• Focus on developing & improving customer facing platforms for different business segments to ensure customer experience in satisfactory & seamless manner
• Working closely with key stakeholders in India to ensure the strategy of Branch for these business segments is aligned with broad strategy of the Bank and taking regular inputs & insights from them.
• Ensuring cost of running each business segment is kept in control and desired KPIs are met.
• Generate Remittance volume & fee through NRI customers.
• Acquisition of new accounts as per the control framework to achieve business numbers
• Manage liabilities book according to the overall business requirements.
• Manage mapped customers of Head Office for ensuring growth of the mapped portfolio as per defined framework and ensuring the quality parameters of the portfolio such as contactability, digital penetration and overall profitability of this base.
• Manage a team of Relationship Managers, Branch Manager(s), Customer Service Managers that is responsible for enhancement of new and existing customer relationships through activation, upgrade and retention.
• Manage Branch customer service for NRI customers and close service requests within defined TAT
• Work with Technology team to keep upgrading the Digital services being offered to NRI customers.

Compliance, Monitoring and Control:

• Closely working with compliance & legal department in laying down policies for different segments in line with regulatory landscape.
• Working with Heads of each business segment in laying down monitoring mechanism about doing business in line with the policies and frameworks. .
• Active review of margin calls, OCDD status, pending customer requests, customer complaints in Retail & Private Banking portfolio.
• Regular meetings with the clients to understand the service issues and taking their feedback on different matters
• Working with Team leads and internal control groups to make sure that outstanding issues are resolved in timely manner.
• Doing periodic calls with outsourced service provider to monitor performance, discuss open issues and closely working with Singapore team & service provider to ensure effective delivery to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Monitoring of Private Banking RM as per BSC for non-sales KPIs for Team & self.
• Monitor Team performance at regular intervals and providing appropriate guidance
• Ensure error-free Branch operations, consolidate operations wherever required
• Coordinating for Private Banking Singapore Booking Centre and to ensure Booking Centre oversight on Business as per Singapore regulatory requirements.
• Ensure Private Banking Booking Centre oversight on customer on-boarding, products, processes, Ongoing CDD, customer complaints etc.
• Principally responsible for overseeing the activities of outsourced service provider, Financial Crime Prevention and Monitoring Group (“FCPRMG”) team for to counter the risks of the Branch’s involvement in money laundering, terrorism financing, weapons proliferation and sanctions evasion, bribery, and corruption.
• Review the policies and procedures related to different business segments and monitor the adherence to the same by the team.
• Ensuring fair to customer principle during product design and delivery, including sales and transactions processing and post-sale handling and adherence to policies and procedures for complaint handling fairly, timely and dealing with customers in a fair manner.
• Coordinate and support all the internal and external audits and also follow all the relevant regulatory guidelines.
• Regular review & updation of PAC notes related to business operations.
• Ensure all documents like CDD, FFF etc. are updated in a timely manner.
• Ensure proper and timely revert & closure of internal and external audit requirements.
• Ensuring that team get periodic training and have requisite mandatory certifications especially for the Private Banking Business.

Requirements:

• Work experience of 8+ years in a banking set up, preferably in the retail and private banking space
• Understanding of India banking and regulatory landscape and macroenvironment
• Understanding of Indian clients and customers, related products and services.
• Knowledge of financial markets and products such as Deposits, Remittances, Loans, Mutual Funds, FX, Bonds, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Overall accountable and responsible for delivery of testing services one or more applications and/or projects for Retail Banking
• Manage and oversee the day-to-day delivery of test services by Bank appointed vendors in the conduct of testing ; Ensure communications with country team for testing and status reporting, conversing in Vietnamese language
• Works with the testing service providers and other BANKSstakeholders both group (SG) and country (Vietnam) to review, provide feedback and sign off on the test strategy, test plans and other test service providers’ artefacts for the testing service delivery.
• Coordinates with the Test Governance team to ensure adoption of testing methods, standards and tools, and to coordinate any health checks or audits.
• Ensures that any changes to the scope of services are communicated to the respective test service providers and the impact is factored into the plan.
• Engages with various BANKS stakeholders (including but not limited to, application, security, infrastructure, business), testing service providers to ensure testing services meet the banks’ objectives and demand.
• Act as the first point of escalation for any issues raised by BANKS stakeholders, testing service providers.
• Quantify, manage, track and report test related statuses, SLA and KPIs, and ensure that defined testing transformation SLA and KPI targets are met for the portfolio accountable.
• Drive and collaborate with all BANKS stakeholders and test service providers to plan all testing related deliveries for the portfolio accountable.
• Participate and contribute in forums, as required, to drive testing transformation and innovation.
• Works closely with the Test Engineering Lead to provide inputs around domain specific test engineering requirements and ensure that they are met.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the Vendor Test Managers/Test Leads for the respective domains.
• Engages stakeholder communities to get their feedback on testing service delivery and identify improvement opportunities to be fed back to the Test CoE team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or master’s degree in computer engineering or related field.
• Must have oral and written communication abilities for both English and Vietnamese languages
• Proven working experience in test delivery or equivalent role with at least 10 to 15 years relevant experience in large and complex organisations preferably in Banking and Finance and at least 5 years’ senior manager experience in testing.
• Extensive experience in managing end to end delivery of testing services from multiple vendor test service providers.
• Good knowledge in managing data migration projects including conversion testing.
• Proven experience in testing standards, tools, processes & methodologies, frameworks, and various delivery methodologies e.g. Agile, Hybrid Agile and Waterfall, DevOps.
• A proven, successful track record of managing shared IT service development and/ or IT Testing Services.
• Demonstrated success in developing highly effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver collaboration, partnerships and services.
• Strong domain knowledge on Core Banking, Cards and Secured Loans. Experience in managing testing one or more areas of these domains will be an advantage.
