• Act as the primary liaison between the Advancement Office and HQ Finance for all fundraising and donation matter, in particular managing the staff donation process.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive view of staff donations across NHG Group through preparation and analysis of regular reports.
• Coordinate with key stakeholders such as HR, Payroll, Shared Services, Finance and Advancement Office to ensure seamless operations of the staff donation process.
• Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to staff donations through regular report monitoring and communication with relevant parties.
• Collaborate with team members and other key stakeholders in streamlining the donation process.
• Assist Finance and Advancement office in collating the information needed for reports such as annual reports, progress reports to donors, publication etc.
• Any other ad-hoc projects related to the Group charities, or administration of fundraising matters.

Job Description:

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for the following finance functions:

• Oversee financial management, reporting activities, statutory compliance, corporate governance, group consolidation of financial statements, and finance operations for the company.
• Lead the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Responsible for annual audits, working closely with internal and external auditors, and overseeing the audit process to ensure smooth and compliant financial reporting.
• Manage the annual budget, control capital expenditure, and assess company performance against the approved budget.
• Support the executive management team by providing financial insights and advice to assist in making the best business decisions.
• Produce and review financial reports, such as Monthly Group Financial Reports, SGX Report, Budget, Accounts Receivable Reviews, and other financial management reports.
• Conduct budget forecasting and develop long-term financial plans for the company’s ongoing projects based on the above reports.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures, while strengthening internal controls and measures.
• Oversee the management of company cash flow, monitor day-to-day finance operations, and review the work done by the Finance Department across the Group, ensuring efficiency in finance operations.
• Mentor and coach staff in the Finance Department as part of the company’s succession planning initiatives.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, including the Company Secretary, legal counsel, auditors, tax agents, and related government bodies.
• Support the CFO in treasury, investment, and fundraising matters, and assist with financial modeling and analysis for business expansion.
• Handle any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the CFO or the Board of Directors as required.
• Travel as necessary to support business operations.

Requirements:

• Education: A good degree in Finance/Accounting.
• Experience: 6–8 years of relevant working experience, including group consolidation, audit experience, and finance operations management.
• Experience in Big 4 audit firms, with exposure to audit, tax planning, and financial controls.
• Strong background in financial accounting, management accounting, financial planning, and finance operations.
• Proficiency in English (written and oral).
• Ability to network and communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain a “big picture” perspective.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on continuous process improvement.

•  Perform daily accounting & finance duties, including receivables and payables processing, general ledger maintenance, tax, and bank reconciliation.
•  Perform receipt posting accurately on all payment modes and reconciliation functions in the accounting systems.
•  Review cash flow positioning, including periodic forecast records.
•  Respond to billing inquiries from customers and resolve billing discrepancies in accordance with established procedures (if any).
•  Responsible for month-end and year-end financial closing including account reconciliation, monthly financier reporting, and financial statements review.
•  Process monthly staff claim reimbursement e.g., entertainment, transport, and other expenses.
•  Assist with quarterly GST reporting and other statistical submissions, and support audit and tax queries.
•  Liaison with banks regarding banking transactions.
•  Ensure records & documentation, and approvals are sought and properly filed; identify and implement workflow improvements to strengthen internal controls and/or enhance efficiency.
