The Role
You will be leading the project of expanding YMCA Club LITE, a social club for youths with special needs. You will be required to manage and oversee the end-to-end process, of the club, which aims to help improve their quality of life, provide opportunities, or to prepare them towards independent living.
Responsibilities:
- Organize meetings to design effective strategies to achieve club objectives.
- Work with relevant vendors / community partners to source for suitable club activities / programmes.
- Manage new sign ups, with trial sessions and conducting assessments.
- Maintain and manage relationships with the community stakeholders for sustained efforts in volunteerism, and opportunities for clients in community participation, integration and inclusion.
- Conduct post-programme evaluations to assess effectiveness and efficacy of activities / programmes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the club’s activities / programmes conducted.
- Monitor the usage of resources and their effectiveness.
- Manage members’ case files.
- Manage and analyze all financial performance.
- Develop profit and loss statements.
- Administer all profit and losses for club and prepare bi-monthly report.
- Ensure compliance to budget for club’s activities / programmes.
- Plan and manage Club & programme’s budget.
- Support with liaising with stakeholders for programs/training enquiries.
- Oversee smooth project execution and issues management.
- Work with team to support other special needs initiatives and programmes.
- Support in grant pitching and grant reporting.
- Collect and analyse data to know and understand how the programmes and/or trainings is impactful and if the objectives are being met.
- Provide suggestions on how to improve the programmes and/or trainings using the collated data, if necessary.
- Effectively communicate findings and insights to stakeholders within the organization.
- Incorporate relevant data into the annual report, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Job Requirements:
- At least a Diploma holder in Social Work, Psychology or related fields.
- At least 10 years of working experience.
- Experience in working with or volunteering with youth with special needs.
- Experience in planning and programme budgeting.
- Strong team player with excellent people skills.
- Possesses strong organisational skills, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Passionate in serving the community and helping youth with special needs.
- Able to organise programmes and events and take charge of situations.
- Good command of written and spoken English, and able to communicate effectively across any audience.
- A self-motivated and adaptable individual.
- Able to work well with others in a deadline-driven team environment and negotiate win-win solutions with stakeholders.
- Take initiative and ownership of projects assigned.
- Experience / knowledge in pitching for grants and grant reporting.
- Experience / knowledge in data collection and analysis is a bonus.
- Calm, resourceful, independent and able to handle pressure, multi-task and work within tight schedules/ deadlines.
- Ability to work well both independently with strong accountability and in a team with integrity, sensitivity, knowledge and drive to support and advocate for youth with special needs.
- Experience / knowledge in data collection and analysis is a bonus.
- Willing to work on Saturdays.
