The Role

This is a full time role for 6 months and will involve working with partners and other colleagues across the firm on high value, complex international arbitration cases. Responsibilities will include:

• Conducting research, reviewing documents, drafting advice, correspondence and pleadings, gathering evidence and assisting with the preparation of witness and expert evidence, in relation to such proceedings.

Skills and Knowledge

Competitive candidates will be a recent LLM graduate or qualified junior lawyer in any jurisdiction, and will possess:

The HR BPO Executive is responsible for supporting the delivery of outsourced HR services to clients, ensuring that HR processes like payroll, recruitment, benefits administration, and compliance are efficiently managed. This role requires strong attention to detail and a deep understanding of HR practices in Singapore, ensuring that services meet statutory requirements and client expectations. The HR BPO Executive will work closely with BPO team and clients to maintain high levels of service delivery.

Responsibilities:

Payroll Management

- Process monthly payroll for clients, ensuring accurate and timely salary disbursements, CPF contributions, income tax filings (IR8A/IR21), and other statutory submissions.

- Ensure payroll records are compliant with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and other local regulatory bodies.

- Handle payroll queries from clients and employees, providing accurate and timely responses.

Recruitment Support

- Assist in managing outsourced recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interview scheduling and interviewing, as well as coordination.

- Ensure all recruitment processes are aligned with local employment regulations, including proper documentation for new hires.

Employee Benefits Administration

- Manage employee benefits processing, such as leave applications, medical claims, and insurance enrolment, ensuring all transactions adhere to client policies.

- Handle employee benefit queries from clients and employees.

HR Compliance & Data Management

- Ensure client compliance with local labour laws, including MOM regulations, Fair Consideration Framework (FCF), and Employment Act.

- Maintain accurate and updated employee records in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

- Support clients in the preparation of statutory reports and audits.

Client Support & Service Delivery

- Serve as the first point of contact for client queries related to HR processes, providing prompt and professional assistance.

- Work closely with the Management Team to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations and service level agreements (SLAs).

- Assist with onboarding new clients, ensuring a smooth transition into outsourced HR services.

Process Improvement & Technology Utilization

- Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve efficiency using HR software systems.

- Support the implementation of new HR tools and systems for clients, providing training and ongoing support.

Requirements:

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

- At least 2-3 years of experience in HR operations, payroll, or HR outsourcing, with a focus on Singapore labor laws and regulations.

- Experience in managing payroll via HR systems is highly desirable.

- CEI certified preferred

What the day will look like

Role is primarily to look after the credit control function of several territories and attend to settlement queries.

Credit Control Matters

• Ensure timely settlements from Clients/Reinsurers in accordance to contract terms and procedures
• Reconcile outstanding balances with Clients/Reinsurers, identify problem areas and discuss issues/suggested solutions to resolve matters within the team
• Research on unidentified cash balances and discuss issues/suggested solutions to resolve matters within the team
• Perform cash allocation and ensure settlement is made to relevant parties as per procedures
• Resolve reconciliation discrepancies with internal and external business partners in a timely manner
• Ensure that claim and cash call collections are monitored, collected and settled promptly as per procedures. Updates to be provided to clients when required.
• Identify client’s or reinsurer’s behaviour that might impact collections. Escalation of collection difficulties to Team Lead.
• Ensure all queries are responded promptly
• Proactively follow-up and monitor outstanding balances on a weekly basis and seek Service Advocate’s assistance if needed with collection and written escalation / update to brokers and manager on ongoing issues
• Proper risk management on payments and receipts

Adhoc Matters

• Engage actively with Service Advocates for the efficient collection of balances
• Managing stakeholders through presentation of facts and data as well as relationship building
• Stay up to date on system matters affecting day to day operations, service level and outputs
• All other duties as required by the management

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Bachelor’s in business / Finance or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in Credit Control and/or Technical Accounting
• Good written and verbal communications skills in English
• Team player, ability to multi-task, work independently and communicate in a dynamic team environment
• Meticulous and able to multi-task under tight deadlines - exceptional attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
