• Minimum Diploma in Accountancy

Donation Processing and Review

• Peruse the bank statements and identify donations received for recording in Donation Management System (DMS). To liase with the relevant parties to obtain necessary information for recording purpose (e.g. through fundraising department or liase with donors).
• Check monthly GIRO instruction file prepared by associates and upload to bank portal.
• Review records entered by associates in the DMS for donations received through various platforms and collection modes.
• Prepare monthly accounting entries relating to donations in MS BC.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of (i) recurring credit card deductions between actual amount received in bank and DMS records; and (ii) donation records between DMS and our accounting system (i.e. MS Business Central 365).
• Maintain project codes, payment mode, donation source in DMS, including creating new codes and deactivating unused codes.
• Oversee the donation mailbox to ensure that mails are followed up.
• Issue and safekeep keys and locks for donation boxes.
• Handle donor's enquiries relating to collections and tax deductible receipts.
• Prepare the annual donation data for IRAS submission.
• Liaise with Compliance officers and external auditors on audits relating to donations.
• Ensure smooth running of DMS for recording of donations. Address day-to-day issues with IT and vendor.

Other AR functions

• Collect & bank-in cash & cheques received through mail opening and our service centres.
• Prepare and submit statements for application of fundraising license and matching donations from funding agencies.
• Perform quarterly variance analysis of donation income for all departments and service centres.
• Prepare annual budget (including variance explanations) and upload approved budget onto MS Business Central 365.
• Liaise with HR/fundraising department on mail opening matters.
• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned by reporting officer or head of department.

Requirements

• At least 2 - 4 years relevant working experience
• Diploma in Accounting or relevant accounting qualification
• Proficiency in Microsoft EXCEL
• Experience in handling donor management system and/or process automation is an added advantage
• Good team player, pleasant personality and able to work with minimal supervision

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of overseeing daily financial transactions. This encompasses a range of tasks, including but not limited to, the verification of transactions, compilation of Finance related report to HQ in South Korea, and most importantly, ensuring the utmost accuracy of all accounting entries submitted by various stakeholders operating within our financial system.

Moreover, you will act as a vital liaison between our local colleagues in Singapore and the finance team based at our headquarters in South Korea. You will play a pivotal role in improving system functionalities which are crucial for timely and accurate daily reporting.

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Finance Analyst will work together with the Singapore Finance Team and Asia Shared Service Centre (SSC) to support the Singapore business by managing the day-to-day finance operations, delivering insightful timely analysis and other financial planning needs.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    
•    Responsible for submission of timely, accurate and commercially-focused Budget, Forecast and 3 Year Planning for Singapore, in line with agreed templates and timetables 
•    Identify and timely report risks and opportunities for the business by monitoring Sales Pacing and cost spending closely
•    Update commentary highlights concisely, anticipating and addressing potential questions in advance with supporting analysis as appropriate
•    Provide Business Partner support to event team
•    Monthly P&L actual review and working with SSC for month end. This will include:
-    Ensure revenue and costs are recorded correctly, and intercompany billings are performed
-    Compliance in accordance to Group guidelines and timely release of accruals, if any.
•    Build necessary financial / management reports from appropriate systems for review and analysis purpose
•    Intercompany review for Singapore incl. agreements, invoicing, resolving mismatches and cash settlements
•    Liaise with auditors for Government Grants audit
•    Manage and review GST submission, Corporate Secretarial related matters and completion of Government Surveys for the Company
•    Handle audit, tax and financial statements related matters
•    Ad hoc queries / requests from stakeholders (Group/Division, Management, Business Partners etc)

A) JOB SCOPE/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Handle the Accounts Receivable (AR) and collection functions to comply with company policies and statutory requirements.

2. Prepare and post journal entries (adjustment etc) transactions.

3.Process and verify refund to customers.

4. Maintain customer database.

5. Process invoices and credit notes that includes administering revenue accruals and revenue recognition.

6. Ensure bank and AR clearing accounts are cleared during month-end closing.

7. Prepare the monthly debtors’ aging report and support in the review and follow up with internal parties for prompt resolution of outstanding items or discrepancy on billings and collections with customers.

8. Prepare bank and donation reconciliations, statement of accounts and schedules for the month-end closing and year-end audit for the society and new companies.

9. Support in internal/ external audit including audit reconciliation and schedules.

3. Good understanding of finance systems, process and proper accounting treatment in Accounts Receivables Management.
