Job Description

• To ensure purchases comply with financial policies and procedures, all documents and approvals are in order before posting in accounting system
• To cross verify invoices by fellow AP colleagues to clear the
• invoice for payment.
• Process payment in accordance to Finance SOP
• To ensure payment approval are sought in accordance to Bank Mandate
• To process clients refunds
• To reconcile on supplier’s statement of account and follow up with the relevant stakeholders
• Perform Intercompany reconciliation on monthly basis
• Handle vendors/suppliers enquiries
• To provide necessary assistance during internal and external audit
• Propose any changes to the AP processes to the supervisors
• To assist in preparing monthly dashboard and monthly reports
• To clear the finance letter box and emails
• Any adhoc duties assigned by the supervisors

Job Requirements

• At least diploma in Accountancy with minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable experience

The Senior Finance Executive plays a key role in supporting the Finance department by assisting in the execution of its core functions and responsibilities.

Role Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the entire full spectrum of accounting function, including GL, AP, and AR.
• Perform the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial statements.
• Liaise with external auditors for the annual audit process to ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform analysis and manage yearly corporate tax and GST submissions.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, implementing effective accounts receivable collection strategies to improve cash flow, and collaborating with BD team to reduce aged past dues.

Requirements:

• Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in auditing, accounting or cost accounting or cost control.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, cost drivers, cost accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in accounting software Microsoft Excel, Xero and SAP system.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist day-to-day Accounts Payable function which include recording of invoice and payment processing
• Ensure accuracy of invoicing entries and posting in accounting system
• Reconciliation of creditors’ statements to accounting records and investigate discrepancies, if any
• Responsible for month end closing and assist in audit process
• Ensure proper documentation / filling
• Involve in ad hoc projects as and when assigned

Requirements

• Possess at least NITEC / LCCI / Diploma in Accounting
• Knowledge in Navision accounting software will be preferred
• Min 1 year of relevant experience in this role
• Preferably with experience in F&B or retail industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and word
• Committed, meticulous, positive personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Handle finance settlements with banks.
2. Responsible for our Group’s treasury system and account maintenance.
3. Review of trade contract terms, communication and confirmation of back-to-back L/C terms.
4. Independently handle and manage applications for the issuance of letters of credit, follow up on receiving, checking, processing and delivering documents of L/C, negotiation/acceptance, and foreign exchange payment due, track payment for trade, and handle exceptions.
5. Responsible for day-to-day cash management, bank loan, cash report, FX transactions & settlements, payments & liquidity funding.
6. In charge of opening or cancellation of company bank accounts, maintenance of bank delegation of authority and E-banking systems.
7. Provide support on any projects on finance matters.
8. Maintain good business relations with banks and other related financial institutions.
9. Undertake any other duties assigned by the Company.

Requirements of Education, Experience and Skill Sets:

1. Bachelor degree in the major of Finance, Accounting, Investment or other related majors
2. More than 3 years of related working experience
3. Knowledgeable in Letter of Credit transactions including but not limited to understanding of LC terms, issuance, documents
4. Prior experience in oil/energy/petrochemical industry preferred
5. Knowledge of fund regulations, related bank operations process and fund settlements
6. Good teamwork spirit, strong skills at communications, organization, coordination, comprehensive analysis
7. Self-motivated, well-organized, reliable, strong integrity
