Our non-governmental organization (NGO), dedicated to improving the lives of low-wage migrant workers, is seeking an experienced Part-Time Finance Manager to oversee our financial operations and ensure our continued growth and sustainability.
ABOUT HOME
The Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics (www.home.org.sg) is a Singapore-based NGO founded in 2004. HOME is dedicated to empowering and supporting migrant workers who experience abuse and exploitation. We provide immediate crisis intervention, casework support, as well as skills training programmes to achieve our goal of enhancing the wellbeing of migrant workers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Planning and Oversight
- Develop budgets, monitor financial performance, and provide strategic advice to ensure financial sustainability.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare financial reports, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage audits and tax submissions.
Grant & Donor Management
- Oversee grant budgets, track expenditures, and ensure funder reporting requirements are met.
Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Establish financial policies, manage risks, and maintain robust internal controls.
Team Collaboration and Leadership
- Supervise the bookkeeper and provide financial insights and leadership to support organisational goals.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, accounting standards, and audit processes.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
