Job description:

Financial Reporting/ Closing:

• Manage the general ledger (including posting journal entries, maintaining chart of accounts, and accurate transaction coding)
• Conduct regular GL account reconciliations to validate balances and promptly rectify any disparities.
• Assist in closing of accounts as assigned, including preparation of monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in gathering financial information requested by internal/external auditors and regulators.
• Monitor and assess the impact of financial trends on the organization’s financial stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure completeness and accuracy in reporting.

Control and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance to financial regulations and adherence with local and international accounting standards.
• Establish and maintain robust financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Tax Planning and Compliance:

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of tax returns.
• Collaborate with tax advisors to optimize the organization's tax position.

Ad Hoc Projects:

• Participating in special projects and initiatives as assigned, such as, system implementations, or process improvement.
• Support development and maintenance of an efficient financial system.

Qualifications:

• Full set accounting knowledge is required
• Minimum diploma in accounting (with at least 2 to 3 years working experience in education and charity sector would be preferred)
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial analysis.
• Team-oriented individual with resourcefulness and effective communication skills.
• Process strong analytical skill, meticulous and able to work independently.
• Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.

The candidate is required manage and direct financial activites such as accounting, internal control, audit, tax and financial planning for the Company. Including analyzing financial information and prepare financial reports of Global RtM.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Accounting

• Key personnel in charge for accounting & Budget matters on Global basis, especially review of Parent Company’s numbers with taking contacts with the key persons in Japan who are Japanese Speaker. (Global basis: As RtMI is headquarter of RtM Group, RtMI is responsible to consolidate financial results and budgets on Global basis. Preparation of financial Budget or Forecast for Global basis.
• Monthly monitoring of actual result with Budget for Global Basis.
• Perform Profit and Loss analysis for management reports in Japanese.
• Support General Manager, head of Finance and Accounting in development and implementation of accounting treatments for certain transactions including derivative treatments.
• Collaborate with Parent Company and other regional offices to align accounting treatments. Especially, Parent Company’s OPEX analysis is one of important tasks with smooth communication in Japanese.

2. Risk Management

• Perform risk assessment for new transactions from the point of Accounting, Tax, Operational risk, and Internal Control.
• Communicate with Front offices well and anticipate potential risks from the transactions.

3. Tax

• Review and build the pricing policy of all cross-border related party transactions.
• Ensure compliance of all intercompany agreement requirements, calculations, payments for transfer pricing purpose, and complete the transfer pricing documentation of RtMI for each year
• Coordinate transactions of RtMI to be complied with Japanese CFC Taxation.
• Update relevant changes in tax regulation of Singapore and Japan and the consequential impacts to management continuously
• Support Singapore-Indian APA

4. Audit and Internal Control

• Response to internal control queries, requests including J-SOX, from Parent Company with making contacts to persons in charge for internal control in Parent Company.
• Review internal control documents like CLC & BLC and propose for changes if necessary.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors to provide information and field their queries.
• Ensure RtMI is kept up to date in terms of accounting standards by liasing with auditors
• Ensures compliance to internal control

5. Finance

• Collaborate with other departments for LC settlement and FX transactions

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Possess a degree from a recognized university or tertiary institute
• At least 4 to 8 years of experiences as an accountant and/or financial executive, preferably 2 to 3 years of experiences working as an accountant and/or financial executive in Japan due to complexity of Japan tax rules
• Business proficiency in both written and spoken Japanese in order to coordinate with headquarters and counterparties from Japan. Candidate is also required to create reports in Japanese for updates to the management in headquarters
• Experienced in Accounting and Tax related Assignments
• Knowledge of IFRS
• Knowledge of Corporate tax rules and transfer pricing rules,including Japanese tax rules, especially Japanese CFC)
• Knowledge of consolidated accounting
• Knowledge of Derivative Accounting for Metal commodities trading
• Relationship management with external auditors and tax consultant
• Meticulous
• Self-driven in order to cooperate well with internal/external stakeholders.
• Patient at resolving issues

Finance Executive (up to $4,000/Full Sets/ East/ Permanent Role)

• Location: East Area

• 5 Days work week

• Permanent Role

• Salary: up to $4,000 + Variable Bonus

Responsibility:

• Manage daily financial operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets Register, and other finance-related tasks.
• Assist with month-end financial closing processes.
• Oversee inventory month-end closing procedures.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of staff claims and disbursements.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare tax provision schedules and handle quarterly GST return filings.
• Coordinate with auditors on audit-related matters and schedules.
• Reporting to the Business Unit head (CEO) and Finance Manager and perform all assistant tasks delegated by Superior.

Requirement:

• Min Diploma / Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in managing full sets of accounts.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GST filing.
• Familiarity with accounting software (SAP) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
