  Review Singapore's accounts and handle comprehensive accounting matters for other overseas entities, including but not limited to GL preparation, standalone reports or consolidation reports issuance, and other FR related statutory filings.
• Regulatory Compliance:
  Stay updated with overseas local regulations and ensure compliance with all local reporting and filing requirements. Liaise with external auditors and corporate secretaries and regulatory bodies as needed.
  Oversee the connection between accounting, financial reporting, and tax declarations, ensuring an understanding of their interrelations and overall compliance of regulatory requirements.
• Strategic Planning and Implementation:
  Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization, lead the strategic planning development and implementation
• Team Management:
  Continuously develop the skills and knowledge of the finance team, and provide tailored tasks to enhance team capabilities, driving overall team growth.
• Ad-hoc Duties:
  Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Group Accounting team.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting or any related field.
• For Finance Manager: Minimum 8-10 years of working experience, including experience in a professional firm and in-house financial, with experience in handling more comprehensive financial matters, financial reporting, and tax declarations.
• For Head of Finance: 10+ years of experience with demonstrated expertise in financial management, including senior leadership roles overseeing complex, multinational financial structures.
• Strong experience in handling complex financial transactions and comprehensive accounting operations.
• Proven ability to lead the standardization and automation of financial processes, particularly for overseas regulations.
• Experience in business planning, with a proven ability to lead and execute plans effectively.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin, encompassing speaking, reading, and writing, as this role requires interacting with Chinese stakeholders.
• Familiarity with office software such as Excel, PPT; proficiency in BI, SQL, VBA, and other data analysis tools is a plus.
• Strong logical thinking, and strategic planning capabilities, self-motivation, responsibility, resilience.
• Effective communication and team management skills, with a focus on coordinating overseas operations and facilitating collaboration between headquarters and overseas entities.

Dulwich College (Singapore) is seeking a Deputy Head of Finance to join its dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering various finance related tasks with regard to the preparation of accounts, and provide support to the Head of Finance. The Deputy Head of Finance will assist with the supervision and training of the Finance staff, in consultation with the Head of Finance, and for ensuring that proper accounting procedures are in place, and accurate records and reports are in compliance with statutory requirement and SFRS accounting standards.

Main Responsibilities:

• To prepare monthly GST self-review and quarterly GST submissions;
• To assist in monthly cash flow analysis ensuring smooth operational cash flow;
• To prepare monthly journals, balance sheet reconciliations and schedules (School Activities, Fixed Assets, Intangible Assets);
• To undertake intercompany and internal-charge transactions with other affiliated schools and companies within the group;
• To undertake reconciliation of billing issuance, credit note issuance, reconciliation of daily incoming receipt, reconciliation of FPS (fee protection scheme) purchase;
• Support the Head of Finance with external auditors for interim or year-end audits;
• Assist the Head of Finance with streamlining of finance processes and automation;
• To undertake various other finance tasks found in finance office including staff cover for other finance areas;
• To undertake other ad-hoc reports and tasks reasonably requested by the head-office and management including, if necessary, outside the finance department;
• To actively participate in the group D365 Asset Management System implementation;
• Preparation of monthly closing reports, among others:

1. Head-office reporting pack preparation;
2. Budget holders’ report preparation;
3. Provide reconciliation report between head-office and budget-holders’ reports including internal charges from affiliates schools / companies;
4. Reconciliation of Investment bank accounts and Activities P&L;
5. Match AR & AP reconciliation reports by respective teams and provide necessary feedback.

• Other duties as required for the role.

Requirements:

• Possess at least Bachelor's Degree in a Finance/Accounting related discipline.
• At least 4 years’ experience in a Finance or Accounting role; with a minimum of 2 years in a supervising role;
• Prior audit experience (minimum of 2 years), preferably in Big 4 organizations, is essential
• Experience in preparing monthly trial balances, management accounts, cash flow analysis and forecast and GST submissions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, in particular MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting software eg D365, and experience of sales ledger process including credit control are added advantages.
• Motivation and dedication as a self-starter, resourcefulness and an ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• A methodical approach to work and is meticulous with great attention to details.
• Pleasant disposition with good interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to communicate with staff at all levels.
• A positive and flexible approach to work and duties and willingness to undertake occasional work outside normal working hours.
