9. Support in implementation and participate in the continuous improvement effort in the areas of Safety, Quality, Environment and Health Management System (for example SS506 part 3, ISO 9001, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001, IATF 16949).

Job Description:

• Lifting supervisors appointed for tower or mobile cranes at the worksites must complete the Lifting Supervisors Safety Course conducted by an accredited training provider.
• To review and advice the lifting plan
• Observe, coordinate and supervise all lifting activities in accordance to the Lifting Plan
• Briefing all lifting team members (i.e., crane operators, riggers and signalmen) on the Lifting Plan, risk control measure and safe lifting procedure before the commencement of any lifting operation
• Ensuring that only registered crane operators, appointed riggers and appointed signalmen participate in any lifting operation involving the use of mobile and tower cranes
• Ensuring that the ground conditions are safe for any lifting operation to be performed by mobile cranes
• Be present during all lifting operations : To take suitable measures when unsafe conditions are reported. Also, to rectify the conditions so that the lifting operation can be conducted safely
• Contribute and execution of risk assessment, job safety analysis, safety procedures / check list, safety records and documentation.
• Daily safety audit on all lifting equipment, gears and devices included. Prior to lifting, check on capacity of lifting equipment, gears, devices, grounds, surrounding, overhead obstructions and weather conditions.

Job Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience as a lifting supervisor.
• Experience and knowledge in heavy lifting.
• Adaptable to fast paced work environment, able to work under pressure, able to finish assigned work on time
• Excellent written and good communicative skills, able to interact with people of all levels and teamwork
• Obtained Lifting Supervisors Safety Course and Work-At-Height Certificate

Responsibilities:

• Construction Supervision for HVAC activities
• Coordinates with Engineering / Procurement / QAQC / Commissioning
• Evaluates and finalize sub-contractors
• Assigns tasks and manage HVAC PMT
• Manages and guide subcontractors for HVAC Fabrication / Installation and Sub-system completion
• Coordinates and liaise with other discipline to expedite system handover and prioritize construction sequence
• Addresses and resolve interface issues with Engineering / Construction / vendors
• Reviews and monitor day to day work activities and make the job compliant to project specification
• Develops quantifiable benchmarks so that the scope is understood and everyone knows when the goal shall be achieved or completed ( eg KPI)
• Demonstrates leadership in managing the subcontractor and immediate supervisor.
• Production planning and control of day to day activities, coordinating with the subcontractor and discuss on the outstanding activities during the weekly progress meetings and arranging materials for the subcontractor to move with the job
• Reviews drawings and discuss on the installation and construction feasibilities
• Coordinating with team members in the preparation of the Risk assessments / Method statement for the activities related to HVAC activities
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members in a timely and clear fashion
• Identifies and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
• Inducts safe work practice and procedure among fellow colleagues and workers

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in Engineering, Marine Offshore or equivalent industries
• Experience in EPC Projects for Oil & Gas , Offshore Renewables & System will be an added advantage
• Possessing knowledge of understanding drawings will be an added advantage

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Oversee all construction activities to ensure work is done according to the plan and up to the expected standards.
• To lead a team of workers and ensure that work is done in accordance to drawings, schedule and within budget.
• To co-ordinate work with sub-contractors
• Coordinate the demolition or removal of existing structures, fixtures, or materials as required by the renovation plan.
• In charge of receipt and transfer of construction materials, plants and machinery.
• Identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes, minimize environmental impact associated with the construction activities.
• Ensure safe work procedures and environmental control measures are implemented at the work site.
• Implement necessary control measures to mitigate the unsafe work and to prevent recurrence.
• Supervise the construction activities and progress, monitor work schedule according to the work programme
• Liaise and coordinate with client, consultant and other work personnel at worksite
• Manage and control workers and monitor their work closely
• Ensure all workers at site comply with quality, environment, health & safety requirements
• Any ad-hoc duties assigned by the Engineer/Manager
• To plan and coordinate for daily site usage on machinery and construction material.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Additional certificates or licenses will be considered as further advantage
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
• Class 2A/2B/3 driving licence Compulsory
• Keep clients informed about the progress of the renovation, any issues that arise, and changes to the original plan.
• Must have a solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and renovation techniques is essential.
• Ability to troubleshoot unexpected issues during the renovation process.
• Must have a good understanding of local and national building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations.
• Able to work longer hours. Must work on weekends/PH. Strictly off on week days
• Have the ability to work under pressure
• Must have knowledge in AutoCAD, 3D drawings and revit software
• Able to read and understand construction drawings from all trades (e.g. archi, c&s, M&e, ect)
• Must have strong problem solving skills, leadership and organization skill
• Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects
• Willing to learn and challenging new things and multi-tasking
• Can work independently with minimal supervision.
• Candidate with a Building Construction Safety Supervisors (BCSS)/ Supervise Construction Work in Workplace Safety and Health Certificate would be an advantage.
