Working hours:

• 6 days roster based (retail hour 10am to 10pm)
• 1 weekday off

The Retail Supervisor/Assistant Retail Supervisor is responsible for achieving the sales target assigned by the Store Manager. The main function is to help in supervising the retail staff under their care. You will be in charge of monitoring and mentoring all employees in their day to day activities in the stores, handle customers in their queries and complaints and be able to solve issues which may arise on ground from time to time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be reliable and responsible for day to day operations
• Monitor staff and promoter performance and behavior at the sales floor
• Conduct on-the-job training for new joiners
• Assist in staff performance appraisals
• Assist in staff scheduling and rostering
• Display strong product knowledge and good customer service
• Monitor merchandise movement and communicate with Buyers and Managers the performance of merchandise
• Recommend to improve business and service to customers
• Handling of stock take preparation
• Act as key holder, for store opening and closing and as duty supervisor / manager in the absence of the store manager
• Manage sales area housekeeping including storeroom

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum ‘O’ Level or ‘N’ Level qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in retail, fashion-related or service industry.
• Meticulous and strong in mathematical calculations and figures.
• Computer Literate.
• Ability to analyze the sales trends for the assigned sections & handle difficult customers to resolve issues.
• Able to work retail hours and shift.
• Proficient in English (Spoken & Written) and a mother tongue will be an advantage

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reports, such as balance sheets, schedules, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Record and monitor fixed asset activities, including generating fixed asset reports and maintaining schedules and related financial tasks.
• Ensure adherence to local financial regulations and tax requirements, including preparing and submitting necessary reports.
• Comply with internal control standards, including financial and operational policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in year-end audits, preparing financial statements and notes in accordance with accounting standards and Group policies.
• Support the seamless integration of new financial accounting processes for changes like new businesses and departments.
• Engage in creating, testing, and reviewing functional requirements to enhance financial operating systems as needed.
• Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 year of experience in accounting or finance role.
• Accounting knowledge will be added advantage
• Immediate starter is preferred

Working Hours:
The role would require a commitment of up to 2 days per week on site depending on the workload and deadlines.
