One of the world's largest quantity surveying and construction cost consultancies with offices worldwide is currently looking for an experienced Finance Manager for SEA (Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Philippines) to meet the demands of our growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing and managing the full spectrum of finance, accounting, and management reporting activities. Be a business partner to subsidiary business leaders, finance and accounting members.
• Examine, develop and implement strategic Finance and Accounting initiatives
• Spearhead controllership in routine finance operations (such as bookkeeping, invoicing/ order management etc) with due consideration on risks
• Review, evaluate financial statements, reports, and processes to ensure accuracy, proper books/ records and compliance with corporate policy and statutory compliance.
• Lead and coordinate forecasting and budgetary planning and reporting.
• Manage year end audit requirements and processes in close liaison with auditors such as impairment assessment and attend to audit queries
• Develop and implement optimized tax strategies. Provide insight on tax implication and tax risk area in supporting business initiatives.
• Manage accurate and timely taxes filing (corporate tax, GST, withholding tax, transfer pricing documentation, etc.), and ensure tax compliance with IRAS.
• Oversee treasury activities such as cash funds, foreign exchange, debt and capital management, consider optimized options and funding sources for cost-effectiveness.
• Provide guidance and leadership in developing or enhancing accounting policies and internal controls, drive operational excellence and efficiency.
• People management and the ability to provide coaching, support and development opportunities for the finance team. Build finance capabilities and skills to increase efficiency and the value add of the finance functions across Southeast Asia region.
• Collaborate closely with Asia HQ on finance transformation projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, financial management, accounting, economics or any other related field.
• Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CA/CPA etc) with membership in renowned professional accounting body such as the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) is a must
• Minimum 10 to 15 years’ experience in finance & accounting, reporting or audit in managerial capacity with some knowledge in the tax regulatory/compliance matters
• Regional experience in SEA, exposure in APAC with MNCs experience preferable
• Strong people management and communication skills, with an ability to liaise effectively across regions
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Administrative Duties

Manage office supplies and equipment to maintain workplace functionality

Handle mail/courier, correspondence, and scheduling meetings

Maintain proper documentation and filing of all records

Oversee general office administrative tasks

Human Resources Responsibilities

Manage employee database and personnel files

Perform HR administrative functions including:

Recruitment

Processing work passes

Preparing appointment/confirmation letters

Leave management

Payroll management

Handle all insurance matters (e.g. work injury compensation, public liability)

Financial Management

Oversee financial operations with Finance Manager

Prepare and submit financial reports

Provide financial strategies and advice on investment activities

Ensure timely financial audits and handle audit compliance

Manage budgets and cash flow

Additional Responsibilities

Liaise with external vendors regarding accounts matters

Prepare and submit government survey returns and other required reports

Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations

Communicate effectively with managers and employees across the organization

This role requires a combination of strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate would likely need at least 4-5 years of experience in HR and administrative functions, along with a diploma or degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, HR Management, or Finance

This role offers the successful candidate an opportunity to broaden their knowledge of business processes and finance controls within an established global organization. They will work with multiple internal and external stakeholders across finance and business functions, regionally. This role suits someone with some finance or credit control experience and capable of managing tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage portfolio queries, recoveries and correspondences with various channel partners
2. Monitor and report on outstanding debts, identifying potential bad debts.
3. Support operations and client servicing teams by resolving queries.
4. Reconcile daily transactions from the payment gateway, addressing discrepancies.
5. Review and post payment vouchers into the reconciliation system.
6. Verify commission statements for accuracy.

Requirements:

1. Minimally 1 year of experience in credit control, finance, or audit, with a relevant university degree.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel.
3. Positive learning attitude, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
4. Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
5. Singapore based candidates with a right to work will be prioritised.

Monitor the main economic indicators of his/her Division and implement the necessary arbitration in relation to the objectives defined by the Senior Management of Zone.

• Contribute to the development of the Division by advising its Senior Management on the best economic choices to be implemented.

• Take every initiative required to bring about development and economic optimization in the countries comprising his/her Zone.

• Participate in setting the economic objectives of the Division in the Zone and carrying out the necessary arbitration to ensure that balance is maintained between the different countries and brands.

• Lead the process of drafting the Plan, Budget and Trends for the Division.

• Undertake all analyses required to measure the economic performance of the Division and take the measures appropriate to attaining the objectives.

• Implement processes, Group systems and procedures to guarantee the coherence, relevance, and reliability of management information flows and financial flows in line with the Group's Standards.

• Participate in developing and leading the management teams of his/her Division within the Zone
