Reporting to the Regional CFO – Asia, the Regional Finance Director is accountable for accurate reporting of financial results and managing the company’s financial affairs. Serving as a business partner, advisor, and key contributor to the senior leadership team in the development of long-range strategies and short-term goals through sound business insight and financial information, collaborating collectively across other departments. This is accomplished by providing financial reporting, business analysis, insight, recommendations, plans and forecasts.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Regional Financial Director is responsible for the financial management of the organisation. The Finance Director is responsible for:

• Managing the financial reporting for the organisations. This includes monthly financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, 5 years financial plans and all statutory financial reporting
• Providing sound financial support and insights to enable the Regional CFO and Asia Task Force and other leaderships groups to make critical business decisions
• Support the formulation of business's strategy
• Managing and overseeing the taxation affairs.
• Managing and overseeing the cash flow of the company and ensuring it has the appropriate treasury controls
• Managing the External Auditor relationship and ensuring the organisations is compliant with accounting standards
• Managing our Finance Centre of Excellence
• Managing the company's banking and borrowing arrangements
• Managing and overseeing the company’s financial systems
• Recruitment, training, mentoring and development of staff
• Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Financial and Management Accounting functions.
• Supporting commercial decision making from margin analysis, pricing analysis etc
• Supporting commercial investment decisions
• Advising on market changes and providing strategic financial recommendations to the Regional CFO
• Managing and tracking budget and accounting information including billing, collections, and tax information

As the Web3 Head of Finance, you will be responsible for driving financial strategy, special projects, ensuring fiscal health, and supporting the growth of Suntory’s Web3 initiatives. You will manage financial operations, provide strategic insights, and align our financial goals with our business objectives.

Responsibilities

•Financial Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies to support the growth of Suntory's Web3 initiatives.

•Special Projects: Develop and oversee special projects and with Government organizations.

•Asset/Treasury Management: Oversee the management of both fiat and crypto assets, ensuring secure storage, proper valuation, and effective utilisation.

Qualifications

•A Master’s degree in Business with acumen in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

•Hands-on knowledge and understanding of trading in crypto. Experience in company treasury management is a plus.

•Minimum of 6-8 years of work experience in US or European consultancy, finance or business development companies, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.

•Hands-on knowledge and understanding of Blockchain technology, digital currencies and digital assets.

•Work experience in/with layer 1 or layer 2 companies is a plus.

•Business level English required. Language capability in Japanese is a plus.

• Take charge of full month-end closing and consolidation for a business unit, with support from an Account Executive and an outsourced team.
