Key Responsibilities

· Pitches, proposals and capability statements: Collaborate with partners and the M&BD team to manage all aspects of the proposal process, supporting the business requirements of the Southeast Asia offices. This includes drafting the content, conducting briefing meetings, and facilitating post-pitch debrief sessions, etc.

· Experience Capture and Information Maintenance: Work closely with lawyers and M&BD team members to draft and update matter experience and add it to the firm's Experience Database.

· Directory and Award Submissions: Draft and coordinate submissions and interviews for legal directories, league tables, awards, and other surveys to enhance the firm’s reputation and visibility.

· Marketing Collateral Management: Maintain and update a comprehensive suite of marketing materials, including office and practice area profiles, lawyers' profiles, etc.

· Event/Webinar Plan and Management: Plan, organise and manage a broad range of events/webinars such as roundtables, client seminars, conferences, social receptions, ensuring they meet strategic objectives.

· External Communications and Profile Raising: Work closely with lawyers, M&BD team and comms team, to produce client-facing communications, including deal press release, client alerts, etc. Leverage digital platforms such as LinkedIn, X, to enhance client engagement and the firm’s external profile in particular in Southeast Asia region.

· M&BD Initiatives: Support and implement regional and local M&BD initiatives,

  - Ensure reasonableness between Medissys (internal trading software) & SAP (accounting software)
  - Handle queries from external auditors on business performance
  - Collaborate with Finance Manager on the Global Trader's Program (GTP) submissions to authorities

Job Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in controlling or Finance
• Good understanding of IT tools (SAP; knowledge of Medissys is an asset).
• Strong knowledge of Finance concepts and hedging

1. Sales and Customer Service
▪ Demonstrate and promote the sale of the Givenchy Beauty products.
▪ Achieve sales and other targets set by Retail / Counter / Boutique Manager.
▪ Report sales figures to Retail / Counter / Studio Manager and Corporate Office.
▪ Provide accurate skin profiling consultation and assessment to customers.
▪ Educate customers on product information and application.
▪ Establish and maintain excellent customer relations by providing prompt, professional, polite, and personalized services at all times.
▪ Register, maintain and update customers in Point-of-Sale system.
▪ Book appointments and perform skincare and make-up consultations.
▪ Follow up on customers after product-purchase to ensure product satisfaction and build regular customer base.
▪ Handle customer enquiries, complaints and product returns professionally and amicably.
▪ Keep abreast about product / company / store information.
▪ Actively participate in company corporate events, new product launches, photography make-up assignments, etc.

2. Maintenance and up-keeping of work environment
▪ Actively participate in cleaning displayer units, tools, and testers throughout the day, and more thoroughly at night to prepare for next day’s business.
▪ Maintain a clean and organized work area.
▪ Maintain tester units in proper schematic order.
▪ Clean or replace any broken or damaged products.
▪ Maintain proper placement and condition of merchandise on counter, in stock room and maintained areas.
• Inform management of any store maintenance issues.
• Inform management of any Health and Safety issues which might lead to accidents.
• Ensure availability of testers, printed materials, and counter supplies at all times.
▪ Merchandise and display counters according to the marketing focus of the month and as directed by superior. • Always maintain the highest hygiene standard.

3. Personal Grooming
▪ Uphold the highest standard of Givenchy image and always adhere to the Givenchy’s grooming and uniform guidelines.
▪ Ensure that only the Givenchy’s products are used during working hours.

4. Inventory Management
▪ Assist in stocking of all counter supplies and inventory daily as required.
▪ Assist in merchandising and re-stocking all products on the floor in showcases and cabinets.
▪ Arrange for product transfer from other stores if customer wants product currently unavailable at your counter / store.
▪ Communicate low-stock and out-of-stock situations to Retail / Boutique / Counter Manager.
▪ Assist in the proper rotation of stocks.
▪ Maintain accurate stock records, conducts stock checks and report discrepancies to Retail / Boutique / Counter Manager.

5. Training
▪ Pass all skill tests set by the Brand / Company.
▪ Actively participate in all training sessions, meetings and corporate events.
▪ Apply knowledge acquired from the training sessions to the boutique / counter.

6. Others
• Adhere to established security procedures regarding the handling of cash and assets.
• Establish good working relationships with team members to maintain an amicable and harmonious working environment.
• Undertake all administrative duties assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
• Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Manager from time to time

This role supports the development of new trading initiatives and enhances the profitability of existing trading activities within the Middle Distillates trading desk. The individual will develop deeper market knowledge to drive impactful Trading and Shipping projects and contribute to Ampol's broader trading strategy. The role offers the opportunity to shape and innovate within the energy trading landscape, positioning Ampol as a leader in the markets we serve.

The role should be of interest to candidate currently working in roles with commercial responsibilities related to Trading and who aspire to become a Trader. Applicants should have their current manager’s endorsement and be actively working toward a trading career.

Key responsibilities

Enhancing Supply Projects:
Collaborate with key support functions (e.g., Treasury, Mid Office, Tax, Finance, VCO) to identify and implement initiatives that create efficiencies, improve company visibility, and unlock new opportunities. Lead the development and implementation of approved changes.

Optimizing Business Functions:
Work closely with Trading and Shipping teams to identify and deliver projects that improve business operations, enhance supply chain efficiencies, and drive optionality for Ampol.

Risk Management Development:
Learn and develop risk management skills, building knowledge to assist in enhancing Ampol's risk profile capabilities by identifying opportunities to strengthen risk frameworks. The potential to lead the design and implementation of improvements, including developing business cases, tools, and processes.

Market and P&L Insights:
Learn how to leverage market expertise to enhance Ampol's understanding of international trading markets, price exposures, and P&L drivers. Contribute to short- and medium-term trade strategy, risk assessments, and analytical tools for better decision-making.

Fostering External Relationships:
Benchmark Ampol's Trading and Shipping functions against industry best practices. Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders to identify new opportunities and improve Ampol’s market positioning.

Team Development:
Whilst learning and improving their own understanding of trading, there will be opportunities to coach and mentor junior team members (e.g., Commercial Analysts) to support their professional growth and ensure alignment with Trading and Shipping goals. This is in keeping with the Connect-Act-Learn framework where individuals start by leading self and move to leading others.

Cross-Team Collaboration:
Partner with other trading desks to share insights, optimize synergies, and support the overall performance of the Ampol Trading business.

Focus on Best Supply Initiatives:

Collaborate with AAPPL on supply plan and work with traders to provide the most optimised supply solutions. Problem solving skills are required as well as calculating netbacks so we can identify the best source of supply.

Managing Term Contracts:

Understand full details of term contracts and how to leverage contractual conditions to optimise profits. Partake in contract renewals and able to assess the cost and benefit of the terms. Identify key drivers for us to continue or terminate existing contracts when approaching renewals.

Qualifications & experience

· Tertiary qualification in business, economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, commerce, science, or engineering is preferred.

· Successful completion of the 225 internal trading aptitude assessment is mandatory for individuals to progress toward a future Trader role

· 5+ years of experience in areas such as Trading, Shipping, Supply Planning, Risk Management, Finance, Strategy, or related roles.

· Demonstrated experience using analytical platforms and extracting actionable insights.
