Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Lead FP&A activities: Annual budget preparation, quarterly forecasting, and movement analysis for operational spending.
• Prepare monthly reports for senior leadership, including spending trends and variance analysis.
• Conduct monthly/quarterly reviews for financial adjustments and ensure accurate reporting on intercompany allocations.

Spending Management

• Collaborate with cost center owners to provide detailed spending analysis and address queries.
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert for Jedox Planning and Forecast systems.
• Monitor key balance sheet accruals, including operational spending and expatriate costs.
• Drive continuous improvements for budget processes and accrual accuracy.

Financial Reporting

• Estimate and reconcile Viatris recharges under the Tuas tolling model.
• Support financial audits, including internal and external audits on spending variance and P&L commentaries.

Compliance and Coordination

• Liaise with Global Business Services (GBS) on invoicing, billing, and government surveys.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role holder will be responsible for running a reliable and responsive Financial Planning and Analysis function that provides the Director of Finance, the Senior Management Team (SMT) and managers across the Organisation with value-add financial support and analysis which facilitates effective decision making.The role holder will be responsible for the provision of timely, accurate, relevant management information to all levels of management and regularly reviewing this information. This will include provision of monthly reports, critical review and interpretation of results and value-add analysis.

Financial Planning and Forecast:

• Coordinate budget planning, forecast and review exercise across MINDS, including annual budget & workplan and mid-year review
• Establish 5 years financial planning needs of MINDS, identifying funding needs and coordinate the allocation of resources
• Ensure adequacy, timeliness and accuracy of periodic Management reports for HODs
• Analyse financial data, highlighting variances, trends and red flags
• Work with Procurement and HODs to institute cost saving measures
• Participate in business cases, review assumption and financial calculations for proposals• Assist in costing and development of pricing models
• Assist in financial system enhancement to improve controls and financial functions

Treasury:

• Coordinate surplus fund management in accordance to investment mandate
• Prepare cash flow analysis and forecast to facilitate operations and maximise use of surplus fund
• Liaise with banks for banking mandate

Degree in accountancy, ACCA or equivalent.

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Head office to understand data governance requirements and ensure timely and accurate delivery of related tasks.
• Review and develop the bank’s data governance policies and procedures in accordance with the Head Office’s policy and regulatory requirement.
• Assist in the development of data quality management framework, including conducting training sessions to facilitate effective implementation and perform periodic reviews with relevant departments to identify and address data quality issue.
• Serve as Business analyst to document the requirements relating to regulatory reporting or data management, and effectively communicate these requirements to IT Department;

Requirements:
