JOB SUMMARY

• The Financial Crime End to End (FCE2E) Programme aims to transform existing processes and systems to improve client experience, enhance control effectiveness and deliver cost transparency. It is primary vision is to move to a more preventative Financial Crime (FC) environment and future proof the bank for arising threats.
• FCE2E programme acts as an overarching mechanism over all initiatives in the Bank which have an impact on Financial Crime. The FCE2E governance model allows for some programs to be directly overseen by the FCE2E Steering committee, while other (Satellite) programs with a focus broader than FC will be overseen by their own governance forums. FCE2E has oversight and makes decisions around proposed changes by all programmes that have implications for FC, including these Satellite programs. This ensures changes are aligned with the Financial Crime target state and a set of principles that guide FC alignment across the Bank.
• FC Transformation Governance Lead is responsible for ensuring that this mechanism is robust, managed effectively across a wide range of stakeholders and in a timely manner to ensure the Satellite programmes progress is not interrupted, and support the Programme Director.
• FC Transformation Governance Lead has authority to decide which Satellite programme proposals require approval and can give a go ahead to the Satellite programme proposals or decide to flag with the FCE2E Steerco.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define, own, and maintain the FC Principles for FC alignment across the Bank
• Ensures all programs (FCE2E and Satellite) understand and comply with the principles.
• Review all new investment requests in the Bank to identify those with potential impact on FC.
• Maintain an inventory of Satellite programs.
• Act as primary point of contact between Satellite programmes and FCE2E.
• Identify items that should be reviewed by the FC Design Authority (DA).

• Build and maintain relationships with small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) clients, understanding their financing needs and business objectives.
• Act as the main point of contact for SME clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and effectively.
• Develop a deep understanding of clients' businesses, industries, and market dynamics to provide tailored financial solutions.
• Source and identify new lending opportunities within the SME segment, including prospecting and lead generation activities.
• Conduct comprehensive credit assessments and risk analyses for loan applicants, evaluating their creditworthiness, financial stability, and repayment capacity.
• Structure and negotiate loan terms and conditions in accordance with lending policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management guidelines.
• Manage a portfolio of SME loan accounts, monitoring loan performance, repayment behavior, and compliance with loan agreements.
• Proactively identify and address potential credit risks or delinquencies, implementing appropriate remedial actions as necessary.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, such as credit analysts and legal teams, to ensure timely and accurate loan documentation and processing.
• Provide financial advisory services to SME clients, offering insights and recommendations on business growth strategies, cash flow management, and capital allocation.
• Assist clients in preparing loan applications and supporting documentation, guiding them through the loan approval and disbursement process.
  

Requirements:

• Previous experience in commercial banking, SME lending, or relationship management, with a focus on business development and credit analysis.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully originating and managing SME loan portfolios, achieving lending targets, and mitigating credit risks.
• Strong financial analysis skills, including the ability to evaluate business financial statements, assess credit risk factors, and perform cash flow modeling.
• Familiarity with credit underwriting standards, loan structuring techniques, and risk mitigation strategies in the SME lending context.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, understand their needs, and negotiate effectively.
  Ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong networking skills and the ability to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in the SME community, including business owners, industry associations, and referral partners.
