We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our fast growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. This role involves evaluating financial performance, forecasting, budgeting, and assessing investment opportunities to drive growth and efficiency.
You will also be responsible for:
- Analysis:
Analyze financial statements and reports to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Evaluate financial performance against benchmarks and industry standards.
Perform variance analysis to understand deviations from forecasts and budgets.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Develop and maintain financial models to support budgetary and forecasting processes.
Monitor budget adherence and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Reporting:
Prepare detailed financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Present financial findings and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and compliance with accounting standards.
- Financial Planning:
Support long-term financial planning and strategic initiatives.
Conduct profitability analyses and assess financial viability of new projects or product lines.
Analyze cost structures and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
- Data Management:
Maintain and update financial databases and systems.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Market and Competitor Analysis:
Research and analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
Provide insights on market conditions and their potential impact on financial performance.
- Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with other departments (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Operations) to gather relevant data and understand business needs.
Communicate financial insights and recommendations effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- Compliance and Controls:
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
Support audits and financial reviews by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
We would want to speak with you if you are / have –
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the consumer goods sector.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
It would be great if you have:
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Knowledge of consumer goods industry trends and financial metrics.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
