JOB DESCRIPTION

• To profile clients' needs and provide them with purposeful financial advice.
• To acquire new clients through your own means or through our dynamic range of business development and sales activities.
• Actively develop a financially independent and savvy clientele through meaningful use of financial planning techniques, such as Asset Allocation, Unit Trusts, Life and Health Insurance, Wills and Trust Service, etc.
• Engage in business development activities, including client presentations, seminars, and workshops.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Self-motivated, with a strong will to excel in a competitive environment.
• Minimum GCE 'A' Levels, Diploma or above. Accreditation in CMFAS Modules 5, 8, 8A, 9 & 9A is highly preferred.
• Ability to effectively interact and communicate with a broad range of people. Able to take the initiative and work in a team environment.
• Pleasant personality and good learning attitude.
• Experience in marketing/sales is an added advantage.

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Controller focusing on delivering exceptional financial oversight, process management, and strategic contributions across the APAC region. The position requires a proactive leader adept at project and process improvement, particularly within the Singapore-based team handling group-level operations and diverse projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee regional finance operations, ensuring compliance, effectiveness, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with teams to support decision-making through comprehensive financial insights and strategies.
• Establish and refine financial processes to enhance operational performance and transparency.
• Support and oversee strategic projects throughout the region, involving travel for on-site involvement and coordination
• Lead process improvements and manage group-level projects based out of Singapore.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in financial management.
• Demonstrated success in establishing and managing effective financial processes
• Capable of providing high-level analysis and actionable insights that shape business strategies
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and concise communication skills
• Familiarity with business operations and practices in Southeast Asia
• Required frequent business travel across APAC, including to the Philippines, Malaysia and Thailand).

WHAT TO EXPECT

This role includes reporting and data analytics, performance management, business partnering and decision-making support.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Support business performance management cycles, including planning & budgeting, target setting, performance review, providing management information and analytics (scheduled and ad-hoc), etc.
• Responsible for streamlining and controlling business and financial data processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports and analysis
• Serve as subject matter expert in designing, building, and maintaining business intelligence tools and dashboards
• Conduct comprehensive market studies to generate actionable business intelligence and strategic insights
• Support initiatives to develop financial models, prepare business cases, and support the implementation of strategic initiatives
• Create and maintain reusable scripts and macros to streamline data extraction, aggregation, and validation processes across multiple data sources
• Undertake special projects and assignments as and when required.

WHO YOU ARE

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related disciplines
• 3 years of working experience in Big 4, financial services, or e-Commerce sectors with financial analyst exposure
• Hands-on experience with Tableau is highly desirable
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and intuitive thinking
• In-depth understanding of data structures and data management
• Meticulous, problem solver with a can-do attitude and a desire to excel
• Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fluid, dynamically changing, and results-oriented environment
