Manager/Senior Manager/Associate Director (Financial Services Tax)

Our client is looking for an experienced Tax professional to assist clients in fulfilling both domestic and international tax responsibilities, optimize their financial arrangements for tax efficacy, and facilitate applications for eligible tax incentives. Additionally, you will oversee the expansion and management of a diverse portfolio encompassing corporate and individual clients within the financial services realm, including banks, fund management firms, investment funds, and insurance companies

Responsibilities

• Cultivate a new client portfolio, establish budgets, allocate resources, and oversee engagements.
• Foster ongoing client interaction, manage expectations, and uphold exceptional service standards.
• Contribute to managing a compliance team by forecasting future workload, effectively delegating tasks, providing coaching and training, and addressing staffing issues.
• Lead, oversee, and coordinate tax compliance and advisory engagements for clients.
• Contribute to recruitment initiatives as needed.
• Forge robust internal relationships across different departments within the organization.
• Identify cross-business development opportunities and assess their potential.
• Share expertise to foster professional growth and improve service delivery. Encourage open communication and supervise personnel.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and related tasks as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Singaporean financial services tax within industries like insurance, banking, asset management, or accounting firms.
• Thrives as a collaborative team player.
• Holds a degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field, preferably coupled with a professional qualification acknowledged by SCTP.
• Driven by motivation and seeking opportunities for career advancement and personal development.
• Demonstrates adept comprehension of business and tax technicalities, translating them into client-focused solutions.
• Exhibits robust leadership, project management, and analytical capabilities.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
