Job Summary:
The Site Planner will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing the use of resources, space, and manpower to ensure efficient and safe execution of shipbuilding and repair projects. You will work to monitor and mitigate capacity constraint and ensure commitment are delivered in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain site plans, layouts, and schedules for shipbuilding and repair projects.
2. Coordinate with various departments (production, engineering, procurement) to ensure alignment with project requirements.
3. Plan and optimize resource allocation (manpower, equipment, materials).
4. Conduct site surveys and assessments to identify potential constraints and risks.
5. Develop and implement traffic management plans to ensure safe movement of personnel, equipment, and materials.
6. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
7. Monitor progress, identify delays, and develop recovery plans.
8. Collaborate with project managers to identify and mitigate potential risks.
9. Maintain accurate records and reports on site activities.
10. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
2. 3-5 years of experience in shipbuilding, construction, or related industry.
3. Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
4. Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD), MS Office, and project management tools.
5. Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
7. Familiarity with shipyard operations, safety regulations, and industry standards.
8. Experience with ERP systems.
9. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
10. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP).
11. Familiarity with shipbuilding software (e.g., ShipConstructor).
