- Work with engineering support section on product design, tester design, maintenance service and implement hardware and software components to integrate into in-service systems

- Manage and supervise the MRO tasks allocated to the section in supporting commercial products, company's proprietary and non-proprietary Army products

- Deliver allocated and ad-hoc tasks within stipulated timeline and cost

- Understand the concept of Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) tools such as FMEA so to achieve improvement in MRO effectiveness, reduced manpower requirements and minimized life cycle cost

- Conduct and lead failure investigations and prepare reports for problems or issues based on findings from facts, researches, studies and make necessary recommendations

- Submit investigation reports to relevant authority for approval

- Generate documents and engineering process plans to ensure operation requirements and safety standards are maintained

- Conduct technology search for MRO applications and introduce technology enablers to improve performance and quality of the repaired systems or components

- Participate in Customer meetings to gain insights to their needs and expectations, translating these requirements into deliverables where feasible

- Responsible for the training of technicians; planning, assigning, and directing work to a group of technicians; appraising, addressing complaints and resolving conflicts

- Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

- Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering

- Experience in Component MRO in related industries

- Experience in effectively leading a team of Technicians

- Experience in SAP System is advantageous

- Knowledge in Army systems will be an added advantage

- Ability to read and interpret schematics and datasheets

- Strong technical skills in troubleshooting Engine, Transmission or Gearboxes

- Competent in Mechanical/Mechatronic system

Responsibilities:

• Leading Chemical Treatment Programs: Responsible for the chemical treatment programs at the client’s site, ensuring optimal performance and promptly addressing any deviations from the treatment plan.
• Analytical Field Testing: Comprehend the principles of field testing procedures and collaborate with service technicians to perform routine field testing
• Reporting and Communication: Provide regular chemical treatment program reports to clients, keeping them informed about progress and updates according to the agreed schedule.
• Inventory and Equipment Management: Oversee the planning of chemical stock levels in Singapore and manage inventory at client sites. Maintain an equipment maintenance program to ensure 100% equipment uptime and seamless operations.
• Monthly Technical Review: Prepare and deliver comprehensive monthly review materials to clients. These reviews serve as a valuable platform for discussing program effectiveness and identifying areas for improvement.
• Value-Added Projects: Actively source and develop value-added projects in collaboration with clients. These projects are designed to reduce the Total Cost of Operation (TCO) with Ecolab’s product.
• Troubleshooting and Collaboration: When clients encounter challenges related to chemical treatment programs or Ecolab’s products, step in to troubleshoot and collaborate with team members to find solutions.
• Proposal Development for New Opportunity: Develop chemical treatment proposals to enhance efficiency and address specific client requirements. Present new chemical treatment proposals to client. Lead the initiation and evaluation of new applications.
• Contract Management: Collaborate with application engineers and service technicians to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Business Performance Review: Prepare and present the executive performance results material to the key client stakeholders and the head of the department. This can occur quarterly, half yearly or annually depending on contract obligation.
• Client Relationship Management: Building and nurturing strong relationships with clients is paramount. Frequent engagement ensures effective communication and mutual understanding.
• Billing and Invoicing Process: Maintain bookkeeping for client accounts under your responsibility. Verify billing amounts and work with the billing team to issue invoices to customers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Chemical Engineering) with at least 8 years of relevant technical Sales & Service experience
• Should have technical sales or field sales support experience
• Must have a valid Class 3/3A Singapore Driver’s License
• Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems
• Experience with refinery or chemical processing is advantageous
• Curious and eagle to find out what customers’ needs and good approach to solutioning

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in the marine/offshore industry Machinery/ Piping new-building engineering design.
• Familiar with Auto-CAD/ Microsoft Office/ AVEVA
• Familiar with Rules and Regulation from Classification Society and Authorities.
• Familiar with theory and calculation of marine/offshore Mechanical & Piping Design.
