Duties to Perform:

The senior Gas Engineer will work on designing, tendering, and monitoring the installation of bulk gas and special gas systems for industrial properties in semiconductors, electronics, biopharma, and related industries. Here is a summary of the role you are applying for;

They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Team Lead to join their team. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective maintenance of plant and equipment to achieve high reliability and availability. You will lead a team of maintenance professionals, coordinate maintenance programs, and optimize planned maintenance activities. Additionally, you will troubleshoot faults, perform failure analysis, and implement plant improvement projects to enhance overall plant performance.

Below are some of the key responsibilities for the role;

• Lead and manage a team of maintenance professionals to ensure effective maintenance of plant and equipment
• Coordinate and optimize planned maintenance activities, including scheduled plant inspections and maintenance programs

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate, should have;

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent recognized by the Professional Engineers Board
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in plant maintenance from the Power or Oil and Gas industries
• Sound Mechanical engineering maintenance knowledge
• Good knowledge of safety and statutory requirements
• Self-motivated team player with analytical mind, strong planning, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and lead day-to-day activities
• Willingness to be part of the CERT team and participate in emergency responses as required

Role:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with marine engines, auxiliary engines, steering systems, and other related components.
• Carry out repairs on inboard and outboard engines, including work on fuel, cooling, and exhaust systems.

What will you do?

• Takes ownership for validating the project’s statement of work and contract terms with the customer, including both technical and commercial elements, becomes lead contact for customer for balance of project order. (Project Initiation).

What qualifications will make you successful?

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
• 3-5 years proven track record in managing electrical equipment and package projects
• Familiar with standards and regulatory requirements.
• Commercial and legal implications of contracts.
• Good understanding of budgeting and financial implications, including cash flows
• Proficient in English and computer literate.
• Good knowledge of contract law and trade documents, project management.
• Good knowledge of electrical distribution systems and standards.
• Proactive & able to work independently.

• Hand on install automation machines & systems with meeting planned project & production schedule.
• Maintain and suggest improvement for existing automated production lines.
• Create, prepare, update automation project documentation, procedures & drawings of Gantt chart, weekly progress report, process / equipment flow chart, validation list, buy off/FAT/SAT (Factory / Site Acceptance Test) procedure, mechanical assembly & layout drawing, electrical diagram & wiring, I/O list, co-robot & PLC program, SOP (Standard Operation Procedure), WI (Work Instruction) & PM (preventive maintenance) check list.
• Update & back up automation system documentation, procedures, drawings, software, co-robot & PLC programming timely.
• Coordinate with internal team (Sales, Quality, Project, Production, maintenance) and external supplier to make projects successful.
• Participate of root cause analysis of product failure within cross functional team.
• Prepare machines preventive maintenance check list and train operation & maintenance staffs.
• Monitor automation system performance and provide support & perform service production automation line when necessary.
• Any other duties as and when assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma of Engineering in Automation / Mechanical /Mechatronics / or equivalent. Fresh graduates are welcome, on job training will be provided.
• ITE with serval years’ experience are welcome.
• Experience in automation machine design are advantages.
