The IT Engineer provides support to employees experiencing technical problems and performs troubleshooting, problem diagnosis, resolution, and escalations. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with system and server administration and virtualization experiences are required. Area of expertise for this position includes Microsoft technologies, VMware virtualization, Citrix VDI, Linux and storage. Job Description:

• Technical review on new project orders and order assignments to Technical Engineer & Drafter team.
• Ensure timely submission of engineering documents i.e. Control Schematic Drawing, General Assembly Drawing, Wiring Diagram, Nameplate Drawing, Test Procedure, Data Sheet etc.
• Review all project engineering documents before submitting them to client.
• Manage engineering change function and ensure engineering documents are updated accordingly.
• Provide advice and guidance to Technical Engineer & Drafter team for any technical queries and to support other ops team on various aspects of technical/engineering matters.
• To check and make recommendations based on common industrial engineering practice, where necessary.
• To provide and implement cost effective and best engineering solutions for project to stay competitive.
• To provide sound engineering practice and engineering calculation where applicable in a timely manner to meet project timeline.
• To review international standards and/or project specifications for product compliance. i.e. ISO 12490 / API 6DX / IOGP S-707 / SHELL DEP standards or other industrial standards related to Valve Automation and/or instrumentation.
• Providing field support for customers to resolve after-sales technical issues or technical clarifications.
• To attend internal/external kick off Meeting (KOM) when required.
• Travel with technicians to installation base and sites if the need arises.
• To assist manager to lead the department’s improvement programs and/or process efficiency initiatives.
• To assist manager in maintaining and updating the department's Standard Operating Procedures.
• To carry out Engineering personnel annual performance review to ensure competency and give counselling when required.
• Support new employee orientation by providing brief engineering department process flow training.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 6-8 years supervisory experience in Valve Automation and/or instrumentation background.
• Conversant with ISO 12490 / API 6DX / IOGP S-707 / SHELL DEP standards or other industrial standards related to Valve Automation and/or instrumentation.
• Possess a strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D/3D or drafting software & SAP will be an added advantage.
• Familiar and possess intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365

A Lead Automation/Systems Engineer at RoviSys will serve as a software or hardware lead on projects, as well as possess the ability to understand functional specifications and/or design specifications and translate that knowledge in the implementation of control systems. A lead engineer will be expected to develop skills required to successfully implement an entire project from both a control system software and hardware standpoint. A Lead Engineer will act as a mentor to Engineers and support training plans for Engineers.

Description of work:

• Consult with clients on digital transformation strategies within their facilities.
• Work in a team environment with engineers and designers from RoviSys, partners and clients to provide state of the art Control system to improve efficiency, product quality and profitability of process manufacturing.
• Design Electrical panels, Control Architecture and wiring drawings.
• Development of P&ID documentation for process clients.
• Define and implement programmable logic controller (PLC)/ladder design, distributed control system (DCS) configuration to meet client needs.
• Testing and on-site commissioning of control systems.
• Support of process control clients at sites in Singapore and aboard.
• Will lead team of engineers and technicians to provide control system solutions for clients.
• Will have opportunities to manage small-scale project of 1-3 people.

Control Systems Knowledge:

• Industry 4.0 applications.
• Electrical design and Process Control fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Controllers, such as single loop control, PLC, DCS or PC based control.
• IOT devices, communications protocols and connectivity.
• Exposure to Control Theory and some process understanding is helpful but not required.
• Platforms: Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Emerson DeltaV, etc.
• Process understanding of batch or continuous process control, combustion control, etc.

Qualifications:

• Min. 2 years as an Engineer with exposure to automation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee C&S design progress against schedule and budget on projects.
• Manage the interfacing with M&E contractors
• Coordinate with engineering consultant, review and comment its design drawings
• Monitor the design progress and statutory submission against project baseline program
• Implement corrective measures for identified distractions or issues.
• Review, negotiate and recommend for approval/disapproval on design change orders.
• Administer design subcontract including processing monthly invoices for payment.
• Coordinate and monitor status of design incentive/disincentive programs complying with provisions of design subcontract.
• Perform constructive reviews conforming design to prime contract requirements and proposal commitments.
• Coordinate and control design submittals for owner’s review and approval.
• Lead a design team for overall C&S and architectural design works, assist QS team for material takeoff and tendering, manage subcontractors and support site construction works
• Facilitate resolving design issues with owner.

Job Requirements:

• Degree qualifications in Civil and Structural Engineering
• Preferably 2 years of relevant expereince in the planning and design of major waste to energy projects or similar major projects
• Positive working attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Well versed with C&S software
