An authentic Malay food stall located at Republic Polytechnic, Woodlands is looking for a talented and passionate Malay Food Assistant Cook to join our team and help bring the flavors of Nasi Lemak to our valued customers.

Job Responsibilities: Assist in preparing traditional Malay dishes, including nasi lemak, rendang, sambal, and other popular Malay dishes. Ensure consistent taste, quality, and presentation of every dish served. Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, following food safety standards at all times. Manage food inventory, assist with kitchen equipment, and support daily food prep duties. Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Start date: End of December 2024.

Requirements: Passion for cooking traditional Malay dishes. Experience in a kitchen setting preferred, but training will be provided. Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment. Must adhere to food safety and cleanliness standards.

About the role

Reporting to the Production Manager, this full-time Production Supervisor role is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operations of the production floor at our FMCG/Beverage Manufacturing facility located in the Tuas View West Region. In this hands-on supervisory position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our production processes and contributing to the overall success of the business.

What you'll be doing

• Lead and motivate a team of production staffs in powder and liquid filling to ensure good quality and efficiency
• ⁠Ensure good GMP and food standards are always maintained
• Work closely with functional departments to ensure smooth operations and follow up
• Perform training and development to enhance competency of production staffs
• Ensure good stock record and accurate inventory management by timely update into SAP system
• Initiate improvement and promptly inform superior for any. quality defects and process deviation to ensure optimal production
• ⁠Monitor production schedule and daily output
• Perform material usage, labor hours usage and production confirmation in SAP
• Monitor production staff attendance and overtime hours
• Provide supervision and motivation to operation staffs and addressing disciplinary issues when arises
• Provide back up support to maintenance team in equipment troubleshooting
• Assist in training operators in automation control process

What we're looking for

• 3-5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor or Team Leader in a FMCG/Beverage manufacturing environment
• Strong working knowledge of production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to address production challenges effectively
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, providing coaching and performance feedback
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred

• Oversee the assigned retail store daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, service standards and cost-effective management of resources
• To create, update and audit the retail store SOP and ensure that the SOP is observed consistently by the team
• Provide necessary guidance & consultation on incoming stocks and conduct regular stock check to ensure the consistency of all products
