· Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.

· Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees if needed.

· Assist with the Kitchen Department on the packing/vacuum packing wherever is necessary.

• Prepares ingredients by following recipes;slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring,whipping, and mixing ingredients; adding seasonings; verifying taste; plating meals.

• Completes hot meal preparation by grilling,sautéing, roasting, frying, and broilingingredients and assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients.

Assistant Cook Job Description:

An Assistant Cook, or Assistant Chef ensures the kitchen is orderly and assists Cooks to prepare and arrange food. Their duties include cleaning the kitchen area, washing dishes and utensils and ensuring that the Cook has everything required to run the kitchen efficiently.

Assistant Cook duties and responsibilities:

• Facilitate and/or support discussions with diverse stakeholders across clinical divisions in the conceptualisation of clinical and supporting services.
• Support the development of key strategic plans in line with future models of care of services at the new facility while focusing on new paradigms in a post Covid-19 environment.
• Collect, organise and analyse data to support the planning process, as well as application of research with exposure to different models of care led by other institutions or industries.
• Provide secretariat support to assigned committees led by Senior Management, and its supporting Workgroups.
• Engage a myriad of stakeholders across clinical, operations, architectural, IT, engineering and other domains to assist with developing a detailed business case proposal.
• Support the DCEO, COO and Directors in whole-of-campus space management and planning, including vacated spaces in and around the organisation, with the view to achieve resource optimisation on the Novena campus.

Job Requirement

• Good Bachelor’s degree from any discipline, with at least 3 years of working experience
• Secretariat experience in supporting committees led by C-suite membets and Senior Clinical Leadership will be an advantage
• Experience in policy writing and/or clinical service planning will be an advantage but not a pre-requisite.
• Good Team collaboration skills and able to work with multiple stakeholders across different domains
• Organised, meticulous and good project management skills
• Excellent written skills, especially in paper and minute writing, as well as oral communications and presentation skills.
• Ability to prepare slides (Microsoft Powerpoint) comprising clear and concise messaging with visually appealing infographics
• Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Dedicated and willing to go the extra mile to see things through.
• Proficient in MS office applications.
