3. Ensure common equipment functionality and its operation within required limits by internal and external preventive maintenance.
4. Initiation and coordinate disposal of unwanted, obsolete chemicals and generated waste in designated laboratory.
5. Ensure all new laboratory personnel receive laboratory induction and specific lab operational procedures before they commence work in the lab.
6. Ensure lab occupants (i.e., staff and students) comply with general laboratory safety rules. Communicates information on identified hazards and precautions to all lab users.
7. Initiate and coordinate all necessary corrective actions to rectify safety discrepancy found in the lab.
8. Maintain up-to-date chemical inventory and ensure Safety Datasheet (SDS) for chemicals are readily available for respective laboratories.
9. Coordinate the compilation and maintain laboratory documentation (equipment manuals, equipment standard operating procedures, maintenance records and inventory record of regulated chemicals).

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Diploma or degree related to chemical engineering or equivalent.
• Prior work experience in a laboratory is not a requirement but an added advantage.

1. Job Functions

• Manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of Organization’s facilities, including buildings, equipment, and systems.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and maintenance staff to schedule repairs, renovations, and preventative maintenance activities.
• Respond promptly to facility-related inquiries, concerns, and requests from staffs and management.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
• Assist in the development and management of the facilities budget, monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities and work closely with Facilities HQ
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to facility maintenance, inspections, and repairs for the assigned homes.
• To troubleshoot, repair, maintain mechanical/electrical services, plumbing & sanitary services, aircon servicing and maintenance, ACMV systems, chillers, and electrical control system.
• To work together with the respective Head of Home (HOH)

2. Candidate Requirements

• Minimum "N" / "O" level or Nitec in Mechanical / Electrical, Facilities / Property Management, or any related field
• At least 1 year of relevant property / facilities experience
• Possess Class 3 driving license would be an advantage.
• Able to start work immediately or within short notice.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

3. Working Hours

5 days work week

Monday to Friday - 9am to 6pm
