We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Officer to join our team for a study evaluating the impact of structured arts programs on the health and well-being of seniors. This research is a key initiative to inform future health and social care strategies to support the ageing population. The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and research team, contributing to all aspects of the study, from participant engagement to data dissemination.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with the identification and recruitment of study participants in alignment with the research protocol.
· Facilitate participant onboarding, ensuring informed consent and understanding of the study procedures.
· Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines, institutional review board (IRB) protocols, and data privacy regulations.
· Coordinate with arts facilitators and program staff to ensure alignment with study goals.
· Coordinate and facilitate structured arts program sessions for senior participants.
· Assist with data management, including entry, cleaning, and basic analysis of research findings.
· Work closely with research team members to administer surveys, questionnaires, and other assessment tools with participants.
· Ensure accurate and ethical collection, recording, and storage of data.
· Support the analysis of research data and contribute to the interpretation of findings.
· Assist in drafting academic papers, technical reports, and other documentation for dissemination of results.
· Prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders, summarizing key findings and recommendations.
· Compile findings for presentations, reports, and publications.
· Manage study-related communications and documentation.
· Coordinate with stakeholders, including community organizations, to ensure smooth execution of the study.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Arts Administration, or related fields. Master’s degree is an advantage.
· Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
· Comfortable working in an interdisciplinary setting with diverse stakeholders.
· Prior experience in research, program facilitation, or working with seniors.
· Proficient in Mandarin/ Malay/ Tamil or local dialects is preferred to facilitate communication with diverse participants and stakeholders.
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in engaging with senior populations.
· Ability to work collaboratively within a research team.
· Competence in data analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong academic writing and presentation skills.
